my uploads to dropbox are usually between 150 GB to 250 GB and it take up to 24 to 28 hours for that data to upload to dropbox. is that normal or is there a problem at my end

Are you uploading your files through the Dropbox website or the desktop app?
We do recommend the desktop app for large uploads like those, so if you haven't tried it yet, you can take a look here for more info.
