Dropbox for Mac says "Beta" but it's not a beta + bug

Question

I have Dropbox v180.4.4912 installed on a Macbook Pro M1 with macOS Ventura 13.4.1 (c). The Dropbox dropdown says "Beta" in the upper left corner, but I have Early Releases turned off on my account. (Also, there's a bug that truncates the avatar in the upper right.)

Am I missing something? Are the M1 releases still "beta" releases? Is this label meaningless?

Yeah. Mostly I wanted to check I wasn't implicitly accepting a risk with my files that I didn't really want to accept, since my experience with Dropbox's syncing the past few years hasn't been reliable in terms of performance and expectations. (Without my consent, the Dropbox client removed all my local files a few weeks ago.)

So the "Beta" tag (which said to me, "Don't fully rely on this; it isn't under warranty as a generally available feature would be.") may not have the material impact I originally thought. But I'd say in a couple months, I again may not remember what it actually means. Also if I were to lose files, I might not remember this could be the potential cause.

Perhaps a solution might be to have a toggle switch or warning in the account and settings panels so users are more aware of the risks.
