Help! Some weird files are syncing. How can I stop them and delete from syncing?

Question

Does Dropbox normally come with an "Apps" folder? Somehow, I had an Apps folder that had a Facebook data transfer folder in it.

I did not tell Facebook to download data. I deleted that Apps folder.

Now I still see the weird files that want to sync to Dropbox. How can I permanently stop them from syncing?

Some files are successfully syncing, but I can't see where they are going in Dropbox.

I have 18 folders in Dropbox. I looked inside all 18 folders and do NOT see any of the weird files.

How can I tell where the files are coming from? and where are they going to?

Dropbox tells me my box is full!

Using Windows 10.

Yikes! I just found that the weird files are in a ".tmp.driveupload" folder!

What is that folder? I deleted every weird file in that folder and deleted the ".tmp.driveupload" folder.

Hope it didn't break anything by doing that.

The Apps folder is for certain applications to save data from their services onto Dropbox. Some require full access to your account, while others only remain in the Apps folder. You can see a list of connected apps or services, if you have any, on this page.

Maybe I solved the problem! I found out the .tmp.driveupload folder was for Google Drive. Google Drive was syncing Dropbox files.

I changed the Google Drive settings to stop syncing Dropbox files.

I will monitor it further to see if the problem is permanently solved.

I still do not know if it's normal to have an Apps folder in Dropbox. So that part is not solved.
