After cancelling a backup I'm trying to redo that backup, but I'm getting an error message under status, even though I permanently deleted the first backup.

Hey @matsuli, sorry to jump in, but could you send us another screenshot showing the app's exact status as shown in your menu bar at the moment?
All it shows is backing up of my mac local folders, not the external drive.
It seems as if Dropbox app is not recognising the drive
