Hmm. :thinking: Initially, could you please confirm for me if you’ve tried switching browsers or using incognito? Could you also try navigating directly to another tab on the website such as your Files tab?

Different browsers, Incognito, different Windows versions on different PCs and the link you posted above, all same result.

Would it be possible to send it to a different email address? I don't have access to that email address, it belongs to an actual dropbox user, I am just internal support and don't actually use DropBox.

I have also now tried bypassing my entire network/firewall. I have connected a Windows 10 machine directly into my ISPs router, using one of my public IPs available to me and I have same result.

I have no issues accessing any other websites I try, other than www.dropbox.com

The issue is either my ISP or dropbox.com with packets originating from my ISP network

I’m afraid I’m only able to contact the email address connected to the Community profile here for security and privacy purposes.

Nonetheless, you could always submit a ticket from your end directly to our Support team and then let me know the seven digit number ID associated with the ticket.

I am experiencing the same issue on my Windows PC however do not have a problem connecting on the same network via the Android App.

Glad to hear we are not the only one. So, just to confirm, you are experiencing connection issues from only your Windows PC from the same network to Dropbox.com?

Also, who is your ISP?

To further clarify. I am experiencing the connection issue when I attempt to download files off of the web client via PC. I am to see that the files are present but experience the connection issue during download. It states "waiting for bolt.dropbox.com" before the connection error appears. However, via the dropbox android app I have no issues. My ISP is Continuum Online Services Ltd.

Problem was intermittent late yesterday, but down again this morning for my Windows machines. This is really inconvenient for us, we rely on DropBox for our daily workflow.

I have a ticket open with support, but no response yet. This can't be easy to track down.

I suspect there is a something in the dropbox infrastructure that is rejecting traffic originating from Windows, maybe some packet structure or packet content specific to the Windows networking stack. When testing from my network I am able to Telnet www.dropbox.com 443 from OSX but not from Windows (CONNECT FAILED).

I have the same problem connecting to www.dropbox.com, dropbox.com (but not help.dropbox.com strangely) on Windows systems. Also from Canada (Quebec)

Laptop Win10 updated, 3rd party AV/FW: timing out as above.
Desktop Win7 updated, 3rd party AV/FW: timing out as above.
Tablet Win10 updated, no 3rd party AV/FW: timing out as above.
Tablet Android: no problem.
Virtual machine, Linux Mint (with dedicated NIC): no problem.

(Note: disabling 3rd party AV/FW above doesn't solve the problem)

Exception: Virtual machine, Win7, not updated since 2016 (testing purposes), on dedicated NIC: no problem connecting.

A couple of days ago, I got a recent update on both Win10 systems, and applied april updates on desktop Win7... coincidence?

@GrandDuc I am also expriencing issues connecting to dropbox. On both browser or the desktop client on windows 10. I am also on Fibrenoire. I have no issue what so ever if i connect through my iphone hotspot (Bell Network). I also hardcode myself to my backup link bypassing fibrenoire network (also on Bell network) and i can connect successfully. Have you opened a ticket with fibrenoire to check if they had anything going on with their routing or other network issue?

Well, i will also open a ticket with them. It might trigger more investigation if multiple customers have the same issue.

I'm responding in this thread since it seems to be a common issue.

For the record, I am working on a PC, and perhaps not coincidentally live in Canada. Our ISP is (I believe) Rogers.

Myself and one of my coworkers use Dropbox extensively in our work tasks. However today/yesterday there has been some kind of syncing issue, similar to if not exactly identical to the issues described previously in this thread. I cannot download items even though I can see them both in Chrome and through Windows Explorer.

Just an update on my end, one of our users was able to stay connected for an hour or two yesterday but as of this morning all of us are out of comission. I have tried several DNSs including 8.8.4.4 and 1.1.1.1 to no avail. Has anyone had any luck finding a solution on this?

Same here, and I don't think its a DNS issue. No matter what DNS server I use, the DNS response is OK, but the browser connection times out

Apparently Dropbox engineers are aware of the problem and are working on the solution
