Anyone get an answer on this... I'm having same issues. About to give up
Hey there @inciteimages - sorry to hear you're having issues while using Paper.
Have you tried this on another network?
Moreover, could you be so kind and try accessing Paper from another browser ( such as Safari, Mozilla Firefox, or Chrome) or on an incognito window (private browsing on Safari) and let me know if this persists?
Another thing I would do if I were you would be to clear my browser's cache memory Should you find this persists on several browsers and on an incognito window (without any web extensions or plugins) please go ahead and log a ticket with our team letting them know about this.
Hope this helps and please keep me posted!
Hey @inciteimages, thanks for alerting us to this matter! I'm just updating this discussion, as our engineers are aware that there’s currently an issue in Paper & we’re working on a fix.
Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you & thanks for bearing with us.
Same Problem here, it is not the network issue. I use Paper to connect with my staff and it is not working now, I always thought of Dropbox as "reliable", is it changing now?
Me too, it happened also to me today. I like Dropbox Paper and I use it to take notes fast at school... but since there is not offline mode, I can´t keep writing until there is conection and it is frustrating please fix this guys.
Hey @Ogdila & @Potatogrill, since our engineers are currently investigating the possible causes & monitoring the situation, I'd advise tracking progress on our Status page here: https://status.dropbox.com/ .
Thanks & I'm always here in case you have more questions or feedback!
Thanks for letting me know @mistywindow! I added an extra space, so the previous link should be fine now. Alternatively, you may follow: https://status.dropbox.com/
It´s works now, it also gave me that error message. Try again.

Hi there, Thanks for response. I had already tried troubleshooting by using another browser (Chrome). same issue. I'll try clearing cache and use an incognito window now.
Same here. With a really reliable connection (symmetrical 500 Mbps fiber, via Ethernet). It's really annoying.
Hey all - thanks for alerting us to this issue.
I am just keeping the post updated since this is still ongoing as we speak, you can check this out in our official Status page. Our engineers are already aware of the problem and are working actively towards a solution.
Thanks for your patience in regards to this matter folks! We'll make sure to update this thread as soon as we have reached a resolution.
Cheers!
How much longer before the non-responsive paper issue is resolved? It's been almost 2 days now which is disgraceful
Thanks @Mark, I've merged the threads together to keep the discussion in one location!
What's interesting: this is the same issue a user described a month ago...only now more widespread. It's crazy to me that a company with upwards of 5k employees can have such a degraded performance for this length of time...3 days. It makes me think it's a bigger issue. I suppose you'll encounter dimished returns by throwing more engineers at the problem. but not good having a great product that is unreliable. I had a presentation today and I was building it in Paper...1. it slowed me down considerably 2. no offline mode - prevented me from continuing my work 3. didn't look good when I'm trying to sell the usage of this product to my team at large.
I ran out of patience. This is day three of Paper being unavailable with no meaningful updates. Very poor customer service, very poor indeed
Totally agree
I understand that people are annoyed about this, but there are a couple of points to bear in mind:
1. As far as I’m aware, Dropbox Paper is still in Beta. You can’t expect perfection. It shouldn’t be used for critical data without alternative backup.
2. If you have Dropbox Paper on your iPad or other device’s app, you can still use it. It just won’t reliably synchronise.
You Dropbox people claim that this issue is solved. Unfortunately I have to tell you that it ain’t. Still losing connection *all the time*. It’s impossible to work!
I am getting "Error 500: Something went wrong" on accessing anything in Paper. Even https://paper.dropbox.com/ is not working.
http://status.dropbox.com/ says everything is fine.

You are right about the Beta. But when DBP was rolled out there where long statements about how it has been tested for a long time. additionally the public Paper is not new anymore. And Dropbox is by far not a tiny little startup anymore where you could definitely bear with little hiccups for several days. Those things should not happen with such big companies.
Hi @toshiprakash and all
Thanks for reporting. Team is aware and https://status.dropbox.com/ has been updated. We'll keep that page updated with news!
Hey @Pr0vider - sorry to hear that!
Would you mind if I reached out to you via email to the email address you use for your Forum's profile to have a look into this internally with all of my tools available?
Let me know and we'll take it from there!
Starting Tuesday, August 21 and continuing through Wednesday, August 22 I do not have connectivity to Dropbox paper. VERY frustrating and it happens frequently. I do have an internet connection. This is the message in the right top corner, "Still offline. You’ll be able to edit once you’re back online. Try now."
Hey there @JMS2018 - thanks for your report.
Can you please let me know if this persists across several browsers? Have you tried an incognito (for Chrome) or private browsing (for Safari and Mozilla Firefox)? Also, have you tried to access Paper on another WiFi or over cellular data (if possible)?
Thanks in advance for your patience gathering all this information for me.
