Hello,
My workflow with images is that I have to have the images on my phone in a real folder for my other app to work with them. Just having them "available offline" is not enough. I would also like to use my own image viewer instead of dropbox. Also with apps like instagram, I want to browse and select images. So maybe I'm blind but I cannot find a way to download a whole folder to my phone.
So unless I want every file I download to be in a single folder and not organized, I have to:
1. copy the name of the folder (click 3 dots -> rename -> select text -> copy).
2. Go into the folder, select all files, and click download.
3. Make a folder -> paste the name -> Go into that folder and FINALLY click download.
4. Now I just have to do the same for each folder.
Maybe I'm missing something so please correct me, but why on earth aren't there any download options for folders? It seems like a very basic feature? I'm considering switching service just for that alone. OR If only "make offline" did actually create a folder on my phone. Then it would only be 1 click.
In the browser, there actually are an option to download a folder. But it downloads a zip to somewhere I cant decide. Why cant this work in the app? But with the zip auto-unzipping in a folder of my choice?
But using dropbox in the browser on mobile is almost unusable. I Cant even navigate in it because clicking a folder just selects it (??).
Please tell me there is a better way. Or that it will be fixed soon <3
