MacOS: I need to restore Dropbox under 'Locations' in Finder's left pane

Hi, While organizing folders inside Dropbox in Mac Finder, I accidentally dragged the Dropbox icon in the "Locations" section of the sidebar, and it completely disappeared. I managed to find the Dropbox folder under the Home directory (the house icon), but when I tried dragging it back into "Locations", it didn't work! It only lets me add it to "Favorites", not "Locations".

Having it under "Locations" was much more convenient for me. Could anyone please tell me how I can put it back under "Locations"?

I even uninstalled and reinstalled the app but it still didnt come back😭

This happened to me too after I dragged the Dropbox icon out of the sidebar by accident. Reinstalling didn't fix it for me either, because it's actually a Finder setting rather than a Dropbox one. Go to Finder > Settings > Sidebar and make sure Dropbox is ticked under Locations — that brought it right back for me. Hope it works for you too!

Would you mind trying out the steps provided in this thread as an accepted solution? If Dropbox still doesn’t appear, check that the Dropbox desktop app is running and fully synced.
