I've used the Dropbox app for Mac for a couple of years with no major incident. This morning I noticed there was a problem syncing, so I decided to reboot the app.
However, when I tried to relaunch the app, I get the following error:
"Couldn't start Dropbox.
This may be a temporary error. Please restart Dropbox.
For more information, click the help button.
If the issue persists, please contact Dropbox support with the following info for help:"
It then gives a path to a .txt file to send to support.
I wondered if maybe my app was out-of-date or something, so I downloaded a fresh copy of the app, and I get the same problem.
(Since I'm on a "free" plan, my access to support is limited. Allegedly I have access to a "chatbot," but no such thing shows up no matter where I look.)
While I can use the web portal for the time being to access the files that clients upload, that's not a long-term solution. How can I get this error information to someone who might be able to help me get the app working again?
