I can see my "camera uploads" photos online, but they don't sync to my Windows desktop app

Question

My phone routinely uploads photos and videos to Dropbox Camera Uploads, but recently i noticed that the files are no longer being downloaded to the Camera Uploads folder on my Windows 11 laptop. I can go into Dropbox online to see them, but I need to appear on my laptop as they always have. I've used 64% of my Dropbox 2Tb space, and i have 270GB of space free on my laptop. there is no error message

Hi @Rebecccap! Welcome back to the forum.

First things first, can you let me know the current syncing status and app version of your desktop app?

Are you having syncing issues with all files in your “camera uploads” folder, or just with some of them?

In the meantime, I’d also like you to go through this Help Center article, and check if the files you’re missing on your Dropbox app include any of the characters mentioned there.

Give me a nudge here, once you have more info.

Sorry i forgot to say i have already restarted the desktop Dropbox App, as well as the computer itself, many times.

The settings in my desktop app say Add photos and videos only to Camera Uploads.

There is no problem going from my phone to Dropbox online. The problem is between Dropbox Online and the Camera Uploads folder on my laptop.
