Files I add to my account from my phone never sync to my computer's Dropbox folder

Question

Over and over, what a pita. I Upload a Photo to DB from my Phone. I click on File Explorer so as to access it on my Computer. It's NOT found in Camera Uploads or anywhere else.

I check Online; it's there. I have no way to get into my one Folder as it already appears to be there, but AGAIN not synced in that same Folder on my Computer.

My one work around to insert into an Ad for instance is to Download it. Only then can I access it in my Computer Downloads Folder to Insert it to Send it somewhere.

Can you please sign out of your account through the app's preferences and then back in?

If you still can't find the file after the app finishes syncing and shows 'up to date' again, please let us know and we'll take it from there.

What a hassle to find 'preferences but that is par for the course with DB. And one of the many reasons I don't use it much over decades.

So, since the files you upload from your phone do show up in your account online, it means that the issue is specific to the desktop app, so let's see what we can find out about that.

Can you please hover over the Dropbox icon in your taskbar and let me know the sync status and version of the Dropbox app on the computer?

Also, if you open the Dropbox app on your phone and go to the "account" tab, does the email address you see there match with the email address shown in the "account" tab in the Dropbox preferences on the computer?
