Why does Camera Uploads stop when my phone storage is full?

I have plenty of Dropbox storage, and none of my folders get downloaded to my phone. Phone storage being full is the reason I want Camera Uploads to work, so that I can delete the uploaded photos off of my phone and have more space there, but it doesn't work until I make room on my phone first. Why?

When you upload files from your mobile device to Dropbox, a copy of each file is temporarily stored in the Dropbox mobile app's cache. The app uploads this copy from the cache and deletes it once the upload is successful. If your device is out of space, the Dropbox app cannot create this cached copy to start the upload.

Please note that the Dropbox app requires at least 500 MB of free space on your device to function correctly. How much available space does your mobile device have? If you have less than 500 MB, you will need to free up some space to resume uploading.
