Hello,
I've seen many posts on this forum about this bug, but Dropbox still hasn't fixed it or even acknowledged it.
The Dropbox app on MacOS no longer keeps files downloaded apparently. I marked multiple folders to make available offline. This computer has been connected to the internet for months when it had time and storage space to download them. Yet now I'm on travel without much internet access and all my work files are unavailable.
Most folders show both the "available offline" and "not downloaded" icons which is clearly a bug. The app now shows "synchronization…" without any detail of what it is actually doing (not downloading my files that's for sure).
Dropbox v262.4.3183
Macos v15.6.1
Computers had great internet with tens of gigabytes available for multiple months and didn't download the folders so don't bother asking about that.
Folders are selected to keep available offline. No special exclusion rules defined.
I've been subscribed to Dropbox for 6 years. It used to be good. Now nothing works well. I'll start looking at which alternative is best. Luckly there are so many competitors who actually care about their paying customers.
