Changing Dropbox folder's location on Windows 11

Question

I thought I had specified that dropbox files on my desktop would be located at c:\dropbox rather than users\dropbox (with all of them set to live on the drive).  I now see that it's at \users\dropbox.  But I have a complete set of folders at c:\dropbox, many of which have been changed.  How do I get things right, so I don't lose any of the new or modified files?  I can live with the actual dropbox being at c:\users (I use a virtual drive, so I can just change where that virtual drive points), but I worry about losing files.  I could just copy over from where I thought dropbox was, but I don't know which folders have updated files.  This is win11.

Hey @Alan Z. - thanks for using Dropbox and happy Monday!

You should be able to move your Dropbox folder through the app's preferences by following these steps.

As for the files that are inside the Dropbox folder that's not syncing, you'll need to manually move them to your syncing Dropbox folder.
