How can I prevent Dropbox from autostarting when Windows boots up?

Context:

-I'm on Windows 10.

-Turning off the built-in preference option(Open Dropbox upon startup) doesn't work  at all

-Disabling it in Windows startup apps doesn't work at all.

Dropbox app just stubbornly autostarts on Windows startup. It's a malware-level behavior.

Hi @apriliss, thanks for bringing this to our attention.

Disabling the option to start up the Dropbox desktop application in the preferences should work.

Could you try reinstalling the Dropbox desktop application, without uninstalling it first, by using this link, and then try changing that setting again?
