How to download to my tablet's sd card.

Question

I uploaded a folder containing video and audio to dropbox from my computer, so I could access it while traveling.  I would now like to download it to the sd card on my tablet.  I have already upgraded my account and specified I want access offline for that file, but I don't see it anywhere on my tablet.

How do I download the file to my sd card?  How do I tell what size it is?

Hi @katylindblad,

You have confused about how Dropbox mobile application keeps offline files. Years ago it used to be possible to access downloaded files on your local device file system; later Dropbox disabled such access (don't ask why; nobody here would be able answer). Now mobile Dropbox application downloads all files going to be accessed, but it keeps them on the application private space without option to direct access to them. By default accessed files are kept downloaded for limited time and after that local cache is removed. Making a file/folder accessible offline means that this file or folder content won't be remove automatically (i.e. you don't need internet to be able access them through the Dropbox application), but doesn't affect where this content gona be kept on (i.e. it stays inaccessible directly).

The only benefit of forcing offline access is that you wouldn't need internet access to access such files, but you still will still need to open them trough the mobile Dropbox application. As Mark said, if you want to be able access them outside mobile  Dropbox application (it doesn't matter your files are offline files or while you have accessed them trough internet), you would need to save on desired place all files of interest explicitly in advance one by one (unfortunately).
