Will I be able to sync across 3 devices if I reinstall and use another email address?

Question

Over the years with drop box, I have replaced computers, tablets etc.. Now even tho I use the same account email information, nothing syncs or happens as in the past.. HERE IS THE QUESTION.. If I delete all dropbox apps/programs from my 2 pc's / 1 tablet and reinstall them as new on my 3 devices using a different account email, should I again be able to add items / documents as in the past and have them available on all 3 devices?  I am using the free version but am no where near my maximum storage space limit.  Before deleting programs, I would back up all files that I want to keep and re-add once working again.

Since you've ensured that you're logged into the same Dropbox account, can you let us know the Dropbox desktop app's exact status on your computers as shown in your system tray/menu bar to see what might be causing the syncing issue?

Thank you for the response.. however I have previously when trying to figure out what was going on, eliminated the older pc's / tablets as they were replaced and only have the 3 that I now have listed on my account / connected Dropbox accoount page.

I think the biggest question is why? As if its an issue with the machine it wont work even if you use new details.

My guess, based on your post, is that you have a free account and may have hit the 3 device limit. If so why dont you just disconnect the ones you dont use anymore and so syncing should hopefully start again?
