Comments in text-file not viisible.

Question

Hi

I added comments into a text file, saved it and uploaded the file into Dropbox on my PC. I can open Dropbox in two ways: taskbar > globe (1) etc. or taskbar > Folders (2) etc.

When I open Dropbox (1): the file opens but without my comments. Going route (2): the comments are visible.

Is this the way it should be? Is there an explanation?

When I open the file on my i-Pad the comments don't show either.

I would like to see the file including the comments on my i-Pad as well. How can I do that?

Tried 'chkdsk' but got the following error:

Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges or

the disk may be locked by another process.

You have to invoke this utility running in elevated mode

and make sure the disk is unlocked.

I do have sufficient priveleges and am not aware of any disk locked.

In short: no idea what to do next.

Yes almost certainly.

If Dropbox is unable to sync it can just 'stop' syncing. Which means the files via route 1 (i.e. the website) arent the most up to date version of your files.

First thing to try is to make sure all programs with files open are closed (Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.) to see if that helps. Secondly try a reboot of your machine. If those dont work have a look at this article.
