I moved some online-only files to my folders, and they also became online-only.

Question

My Dropbox organization was a mess.

I had 4 folders setup for organization:

* Projects
* Areas
* Resources
* Archive

They were previously designated Available Offline.

I moved a bunch of online-only files into those folders, and they became available online.

Is this the behavior that is supposed to happen?

If so, how are we to keep a mixed organization of online and offline files?

How do I tell these folders to stop making all files available offline?

Hey @OChannel, thanks for your post.

First off, can you copy and paste a screenshot of the syncing icons you currently see next to those folders?

How did you add your new files to them? Did you do so via the desktop app, or did you use your web Dropbox account instead, and they synced locally?

Finally, cancelling syncing isn’t possible, I’m afraid. However, can you let me know why you’d like to do that? Perhaps there’s something else I can suggest depending on the issue.

Can we make Dropbox cancel syncing? Not just pause. There seems to be no command to cancel a sync, or stop downloading files.
