I could not find a place to post bugs…
Memory leak:
Hi there, @Tom A.5, I'd be happy to look into this with you.
Thank you for all the additional information you've provided. When you say that you're facing memory leak, can you let me know exactly what happens? Does your Mac use a high CPU?
Based on the app version you are currently using (258.3.3629), it looks like you have the beta version installed instead of the stable one. This could be the culprit behind the issue.
It's important to note that if you're currently using the beta version, that might have been the case in the past too. Can you try to uninstall Dropbox from your computer using these steps?
Once you do this, please access your account settings online and then toggle the Early Access setting to Off. After that reinstall the stable version using this link.
Once you do so, please check the app's syncing status and let me know. You can find this by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your taskbar, next to your WiFi.
I'll be waiting for your update once you try this, to let me know if the behavior remains the same. Thanks!
Thanks for the reply! I am going to stick with the beta program - can't remember why i turned that on, but I am a software developer and I do really like to help Dropbox.. Its been running for a week and using a normal amount of memory for all the files (over 200k ) that I have.
Hey @Tom A.5!
Thanks for the heads up. Happy to hear that everything is working the way they should. 😌
If you need anything else, please let me know and I will be more than happy to help every step of the way.
