No option to "make available offline" and also no cloud icons. Help?

Hi, after being on vacation for a few weeks, I went to work on a client file that I keep in the cloud until I need to work on it. When I went to select "make available offline", I don't see any of the previously available Dropbox file options. I keep most client files in the Dropbox cloud until I need to work, then put them back to the cloud when done in order to conserve HD space.

Can you help please?

Hey there, @Thinkscott1015, thanks for the info!

You should be able to hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, next to your WiFi and that'd give you the app's syncing status.

While you're at it, please close any third-party cloud apps (e.g., Google Drive, OneDrive), as they can sometimes interfere with Dropbox's functionality.

If I were you, I would also quit and relaunch the Dropbox app. Right-click the Dropbox icon in the menu bar and select 'Quit,' then reopen it from your applications.

Finally, please sign out and back in by opening the Dropbox app from your applications menu.

lol-I'm almost a luddite, so thanks for reaching out. My OS is 26.3 (25D125). My dropbox version is 252.4.3485. Where do I find the synching status please? I just dragged a random file from my desktop to dropbox and it seems to be synching just fine.

The screen grab here shows what I'm confused by—used to be that when I right-clicked on the file, below all the other options there would be a whole list of Dropbox options including the "make available offline" and the one to make available online only. Now, nothing.

As for location, seems to be this: Macintosh HD > Users > Scott—-is that what you were looking for?

Could you please confirm your device's exact OS, along with the version of the Dropbox desktop app and its syncing status? You can find this by hovering your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, next to your WiFi.

Could you also attach a screenshot of the options you see when you right-click on the files in your Dropbox folder?

Additionally, does syncing work otherwise? For example, if you add a file to your Dropbox folder, does it sync to your account online? Finally, what is the location of your Dropbox folder? Is it in your User folder or in ~/Library/CloudStorage?

Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!
