Compare Versions isn't available for PDF files

I’m currently evaluating Dropbox Replay for my team of Technical Writers and our Video Editor. We love the frame-accurate review for video, and we were excited that Replay also supports PDF.

However, I noticed that the 'Compare Versions' feature doesn't seem to be available for PDF reviews.

In our workflow, stakeholders require a clear 'redline' or side-by-side comparison of every revision we create. Having a built-in comparison tool for PDFs (similar to the video toggle) would be a huge boon for technical documentation teams.

Is PDF version comparison currently on the product roadmap? Or is there a recommended workaround within Replay to show stakeholders what has changed between Version A and Version B?"

Hi @TReady2440, thanks for messaging the Community.

Currently, the option to compare versions is only applicable for videos that have more than one version.

At this time, there is no information on whether this would be rolled out to PDF files as well in the future.

If you want to show the differences between the previous version of a PDF when compared to the current version, you could try using the version history of the file itself to download the older version, and then directly compare them side-by-side in separate applications.
