Files dragged to Dropbox folder in sidebar do not go to Cloud Storage Dropbox Folder

Files in the Dropbox Folder in my Finder sidebar do not appear in the Cloud Storage Folder and thus are not syncing. I've reinstalled the Dropbox app, relaunched multiple times, tried to drag files to an alieas, all without success. Using MacOS 26.2 on a new Mac Mini.

If thats the case have you checked the sidebar symlink is going to the right place?

Have you also checked that Dropbox is running without issues?
