I have 2 TB of storage and got to 300 mb of uploaded files and now I can't upload any further. I also noticed that many of the folders I've loaded are stuck in sync status.

Then the message isn't coming from Dropbox, but from Windows. You likely don't have enough space on the drive where your Dropbox folder is located.
Remember, the Dropbox folder isn't a cloud-only folder that only exists online. It's a folder on your computer like any other and anything you put in the Dropbox folder will (initially) take up space on your drive, so you need enough available drive space to hold whatever you're trying to upload to Dropbox.
Once you've placed files in the Dropbox folder and they're fully synced, if you don't want them to take up any local drive space you can use Selective Sync or Online-only to remove them from the local drive while leaving them in Dropbox.

yeah I just figured out it's my C Drive running out of space. Problem fixed. Thanks for looking into this.
