Drop box should have editor or allow users to open outllok msg and similar files from dropbox . Microsoft outlook app is available and one can be view there but it does not connect to dropbox

You can use Dropbox with Outlook messages in a couple of ways:
-To share a Dropbox file or folder in an Outlook email, go to Dropbox, right-click the item, select 'Copy Dropbox link,' and paste the link into your email.-To save email attachments from Outlook to Dropbox, download the attachment from your email and save it to your Dropbox folder on your computer. Make sure you have the Dropbox desktop app installed for easy file management.Please note, the Dropbox for Outlook Add-in will be discontinued starting October 1, 2025, but these manual methods will continue to work.

Dropbox can't have a viewer/editor for every possible file type, so they focus on the most popular file formats. Those include, but aren't limited to, Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), PDF, text, and various image and video formats.
If you need to open/view Outlook .msg file, you'll need to use a third-party application to do so. There are plenty of options that you can use on both a computer or mobile device, many of which can easily open a file from Dropbox.
