Everything was selected for sync but not everything has shown up on the Dropbox desktop app

I just migrated to a new computer and made the mistake of selecting a few folders to appear on my dropbox desktop app. I have since deleted and reinstalled the app and selected all folders this time but the first few folders I selected are still showing up - not all of them. How do i fix this?
