I don't even know if this is the correct place to find a solution. Am novice here. I have a Win 10PC / Dropbox basic (also have cell phone and tablet linked).
Am able to access Dropbox from the links on the devices, but also via the Web, using my password. I recently was doing some "cleaning" of my PC and before I knew it I had clicked on my computer's Download folder and let go of the mouse while it was over the Dropbox folder., in effect moving it into Dropbox.
So it sits in Dropbox, and now ANYTHING I DOWNLOAD wants to put it INTO DOWNLOADS--- in Dropbox. Just as soon as I realized what had happened, within a second!, I had my cursor on the folder and dragged it back to my PC, to the desktop. Immediately I realized that I must have only COPIED the folder, because it's color was much more faint, but I could see and access everything was there..
While I know how to move the file to the correct location on the PC (and deleting it from Dropbox at the same time), it is a pain and takes more time than I wish to spend from here on out. I want to move the Downloads Folder back to its proper place in the PC, which would also reduce the size of my Dropbox folder.
Are there recommended steps you can provide me with? Thank you.
