I want to edit and save my updated document to a new location, instead of auto-save.

I have a master document saved in Dropbox. I'm trying to open the document and make changes to it then save it as a new document in a different folder without saving the changes to the "master" document. My problem seems to be autosave as every time I make a change to the master, it auto saves, not allowing me to save to a new folder and keep the original as a master copy. How do I solve this problem? Thanks

Can you clarify which platform you’re using to edit this file exactly? Are you using Word for the web perhaps?

You can also send me a full screenshot of what you’re seeing on your end and hide any details you don’t want publicly visible.

Hey Nancy. Thanks for the reply, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I am editing the document in word for the web. Attached is a screen shot of the what I'm looking at. Please let me know if you need a different view.

Office Online auto-saves your content back to Dropbox at regular intervals. I don't believe there's a direct way to disable this feature.

However, as a workaround you can duplicate the existing master file, and make any necessary changes there.
