My screenshots don't save to my Dropbox account on Windows, even though the feature is enabled.

My screenshots are not saving to Dropbox at all even though the option is checked to do so right under settings. In fact I have the Snipping Tool for Windows 11 turned 100% off because I hate the dang thing and prefer screenshots hence why I use the "PRT SC" button in the first place! I don't want Screenshots going to Microsoft's Stupid "OneDrive" and turned that feature off as well for that known trash for OneDrive destroyed my system and took over my desktop on my old laptop and my backup that I personally made via an External Hard Drive and a Hard Drive Enclosure with my old laptop's hard drive (since it was a power port issue that killed it) and not a hard drive failure was able to get everything back but my horror it was all still connected under a link to OneDrive and my new laptop during setup forced everything to OneDrive but unmapped everything from OneDrive to where I want it and took control back from Microsoft (wish the same can be said about the Start Menu) but that's not what I'm here for.

Ever since I had to get a new laptop because my old one died my screenshots will not save to Dropbox at all and they don't ever appear in my Dropbox "Screenshots" Folder. I literally have to open up Paint on my laptop and paste the screenshot there just to get it then put it into Dropbox.

So to reiterate it in punctuated facts:

EVER SINCE I GOT THIS NEW LAPTOP AND INSTALLED DROPBOX (BASIC) ALL OF MY SCREENSHOTS DO NOT GO TO MY SCREENSHOTS FOLDER IN DROPBOX EVEN THOUGH MY SETTINGS ARE SET FOR THAT!

Here's direct proof that Settings show that Screenshots are 100% set to save to Screenshots in Dropbox yet I go that folder and the screenshot I took is not there, it is on the Windows 11 Clipboard and I have to paste it into MS Paint then manually save that picture to Dropbox and the Screenshots folder where I wanted it in the first place!

Hey @jetnova16, thanks for posting on our Community today.

Have you already tried to turn the feature Off via your Dropbox app preferences, restart your computer and then, turn the feature On again?

As for OneDrive, is it currently disabled on your computer, or did you just disable the feature to save your screenshots on it? If the latter, can you please disable OneDrive altogether for now on your device and let me know if you can save your screenshots to Dropbox after that?

Keep me posted for any updates.

Yes, I have done that many times since I got this new laptop for your information! I am here stating this issue because I have already done all of the COMMON STEPS to get something working from turning off the setting and shutting down the computer to resetting the desired setting and then even shutting down the computer again and restarting it just for it to NOT work whatsoever!

I have more than disabled OneDrive from my computer, I have 100% REMOVED that Microsoft TRASH for it destroyed my old laptop's desktop and I am never risking that happening ever again for I WANT CONTROL OVER MY SYSTEM, I DO NOT WANT MICROSOFT HAVING CONTROL!

I have even discussed it was other IT Professionals that I know and correspond with, and they have had the same issue.

HI @jetnova16, did you disable the Snipping Tool in the same way as these steps?

When taking a screenshot, do you only press the Print Screen button, or do you also need to press a function key on your laptop at the same time?

Do you NOT KNOW HOW TO READ? I HAVE ALREADY STATED THAT I HAVE TURNED OFF MICROSOFT'S TRASH SNIPPING TOOL AND AS SUCH IT IS 100% DISABLED FOR I DO NOT LIKE THAT STUPID & ILLOGICAL TRASH OF A TOOL! It is in fact one of the FIRST THREE THINGS I DISABLED RIGHT AFTER SETTING UP THIS NEW LAPTOP; The SECOND BEING: ONEDRIVE!

100% PROOF that the stupid Snipping Tool is turned off as I have stated directly in my FIRST POSTING on this issue!

You don't need to press a Function Key with my Laptop to us the Screenshot (PRT SC) key, its the ONLY function for the key (button) for it does nothing else! Thus what part of the major fact don't you understand that when pressing this key all I have to do is then go to MS Paint and PASTE the dang thing I took a screenshot of into that program and then it is there and then I have to save it to Dropbox/Screenshots just to get the dang screenshot into Dropbox. Thus the ONLY direct problem here is with DROPBOX not wanting to save the screenshots when they are taken by pressing this key!

Also for your information, when pressing FN and the PRT SC key (button) the screenshot doesn't work and won't get captured and thus can't even be pasted into MS Paint! Thus further proving that you're not supposed to press FN + PRT SC on my laptop for they don't work together!
