Backblaze not backing up Dropbox folder

Question

I am running Mac Sonoma 14.0. Since the recent Dropbox update that put the Dropbox folder in Library>cloud storage and noted under "locations" in finder sidebar Backblaze no longer backs up my Dropbox folder. This is where I keep all my photography. All was fine til recent Drobox update. Is there any way to fix this problem? Backblaze says they can not help til I get the Dropbox folder out of cloud storage. Love some advice ☹️.

I agree that this is awful.  I do NOT want dropbox in CloudStorage.  I want it to be whatever folder I choose it to be like it used to work.  This new system is a giant mess.  I've had the cloud storage folder appear and disappear and then everything needs to synch and unsynch over and over.  I've been a long time dropbox user, but right now it really feels broken and I'm thinking of uninstalling.

I'm afraid that if Backblaze cannot work with the Dropbox folder in CloudStorage, there's not much we can do, as the Dropbox folder cannot be moved to a different location, due to the update of the app to Dropbox for macOS on File Provider.

I would still suggest you reach out to Backblaze in case they can assist you further and I'll also leave this thread open, in case another user has any workarounds for you.
