hello folks, i don't see the option of ""Send a copy" in the menu in desktop anymore:
Hey @michel Salloum, thanks for flagging this with us.
Could you just confirm your device's exact OS version and the version and status of the desktop app as shown in your system tray?
Thanks a bunch!
Thank you for the reply,
am running Windows 10 pro build: 19045.3448
Dropbox app version 183.4.7058 .
I am also missing the Send a copy feature when selecting multiple pdfs at once. I use this feature daily for work. I re-installed Dropbox to the latest version on my windows 10 PC and the feature is still missing. It only shows up if I right click on a dropbox folder but not when selecting multiple pdfs at once like it used to.
Hey all!
If you're facing the same issue, can I open a ticket on my end for you, in order for us to have a closer look into this?
I'm having the same issue. I see it on some items but not others. I'm trying to send a WAV file to a client.
Hey @David L.160! Do you mind clarifying the OS version of the device on which you're having this issue?
Also, what's your app version?
I'm on Win 10 Pro build 19044.3086.
Dropbox v183.4.7058.
'Send a copy' is something I use almost every day. I rebooted, hoping it would come back but that didn't help.
If I right-click an empty area within the folder, I see a "Send with Dropbox Transfer" and it wants to send the entire folder but if I right-click the file itself, there are no Dropbox context menu items at all.
@David L.160, can we log a ticket for you then, and look into this internally?
Yes. For the record, it works fine on my MacBook.
Hey @David L.160!
I just sent you an email, I'll see you there!
Having the same problem here, it started this week. I tried updating the Dropbox app, but its the same.
Windows 10
App V183.4.7058
Hey @MarcoAntonioSc, I just sent you a ticket, in order for us to have a closer look into this!
I have the same problem: when selecting multiple items and right-clicking on them, the only available options are "Online Only / Also Offline" (my OS is in Spanish, so I don't know the exact wording, sorry). It started one week ago aproximately, I guess with the last update.
I'm on Windows 10 Pro 19045.3448
Hey @Carles36 - sorry to hear about this.
Would it be OK if we reached out via email to have a further look into this?
Hi, Walter!
Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I don't have access to the email attached to this account (since it's corporate) so it would be no use. I guess my best bet is to wait for the next update and use the web interface for the transfers until it gets fixed.
Hello,
I am experiencing the same problem with one of my users (I have Dropbox Standard with 6 licenses). From time to time, the "Send a copy" option of the right-click menu disappears, for no apparent reason. Uninstalling/reinstalling the software, rebooting, and all the other usual methods do not bring it back. It just magically appears one day and disappears the next.
Any ideas? We have Windows 10 Pro, version 22H2, OS build 19045.3448, 64-bit OS.
Sorry to hear about this, @PopM.
Can you let us know which version of the Dropbox app you're using and what the sync status is?
You can see this info, when hovering over your Dropbox icon.
I have Dropbox 184.4.6543. All the files from all the folders are synced. Some files are online-only and some are offline.
None of the files for that user offer the right-click "Send a copy" option.
Thanks for the update, @PopM.
Can we send you an email, so we can look into this internally as well?
Yes, that would help. Feel free to send me an email.
Thank you.
Thanks, @PopM, I just reached out to you, so I'll see you there!
I'm having this same issue. The feature disappeared on me and I need to use it. Looks like the engineers have not been able to resolve this topic yet. Please help!
I just sent you an email @elementuser, I'll see you there!
I am also having this issue. I have Windows 11 and just preformed an Advanced Reinstall. This did not solve the problem.
Hi @Tactical Retail, welcome to our Community!
Let me know more, and we'll take it from there!

The status of Dropbox is normal? "Your files are up to date"
Hi @Tactical Retail, thanks for the info!
Can you also let me know the Dropbox version you're using?
You can find this by hovering your mouse over the little Dropbox icon on your task bar, next to your WiFi.
If you could also send me a screenshot of the options you get, when you right click in a file/folder inside your Dropbox folder, that'd be amazing, thanks!
I am having the same issue! The "Send a copy" is only in the dropdown menu when you right click folders, but if you right click a file, it does not give you the option to "Send a Copy." This is something I use daily and one of the only reasons I use Dropbox. For the past few months every week on Mondays I have issues with it disappearing. Normally uninstalling and reinstalling works but this week it didn't. It's becoming an inconvenience, and I may have to switch file transfer software if it doesn't get fixed.
I am running Dropbox 199.4.6287 and Windows 10 Pro
Hey @CLoeffler2 - thanks for bringing this to our attention.
Could you please send us a screenshot of the options you get when you right click on your files in the Dropbox folder and let us know if you've tried rebooting your computer and quitting and relaunching the app as well?
Is the app 'up to date' by the way or syncing perhaps?
Any additional information is more than welcome!
