syncing issue with windows 11

while i uploaded any folder on dropbox then at that time all files of that folder are synced. but then after if any changes made in that folder like created new file then it is not syncing across.

But while doing same process on windows 10 computer then it is working fine

please help me out. thanks in advance....

Did you upload the files and folders directly to the Dropbox site originally?

How are you making changes in that folder?

This will help me to assist further!

first i upload folder on drop box from web.

then after i am changing or creating files on original folder. these chenages are not syncing.

Thanks for the info. Are you able to see any syncing icons on the files in the Dropbox folder on your computer?

Is the Dropbox desktop application installed and running? Can you see the icon in the system tray? What is the current status of the app at the bottom when you click the icon once?

Are you certain you're viewing the official Dropbox folder and now a shortcut to the folder? Could you confirm the location of the folder and try to add a new test file there?

A screenshot showing us what you're seeing in Explorer, while hiding any personal file names, would help greatly.

I can see sync icons on one of the images. Where is the location of the folder on the left? Is that when you click the Dropbox folder?

So, if the folder is on your desktop, then it wouldn't be in the Dropbox folder, unless you've enabled the Dropbox Backup feature.

what if my folder is on any drive like 😧 TestFolder

Are you referring to the Dropbox folder itself?

If a file is inside the Dropbox folder, then it would sync to the site.

again my question is same i uploaded the folder in dropbox which is physically in 😧 Drive for example \Testfolder.

If i made any chnages in the folder like creted new files in \Testfolder, then that file is not syncing in dropbox.

Hi @subodh, it's expected for the changes not to sync if the situation is as you described.

Any changes you make in your Dropbox folder, will sync online, and vice versa. However, if I have a folder called "cat23" in my local, D hard drive, and a folder "cat23" in Dropbox, which is located in my D drive, then these two won't sync with each other.

If I understand your situation correctly, you want your Testfolder that you have in your C drive, in Dropbox, to reflect in the path \Testfolder, is that so? In this case I'm afraid that this isn't how Dropbox works. You'd need to copy the changes from Dropbox to the folder in your D drive.
