I cannot edit pdfs without creating a copy each time an edit is made.

Hi,

I have my dropbox linked to my laptop's desktop so I can easily access it; after the latest macOS update I am getting a pop up message that says a copy will be made when I make any edits. This would have been fine if it was once off, but its making copies every time. Please find attached screenshots. Any advice to resolve this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi @Maryie, thanks for letting me know!

Since the issue persists when Dropbox is completely closed, this suggests that the cause is related to something outside of the Dropbox application.

You might need to check closely the permissions of these files, and make sure they're not read-only.

Ok so I've just tried that, quit the app, tried editing after that and before relaunching and once after relaunching. It's still the same 😞

Hi @Maryie, to help isolate this issue, could you please try quitting the Dropbox app, and let me know if the issue persists?

Click the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, then click on your profile picture or initials to the right of the search bar and select "Quit Dropbox".
