A couple Weeks ago I have used Apple Migration Assistance to move all data content from my old Intel MacBook Pro to my new M2 MacBook Pro.
Both devices were running on OSX Ventura.
I have noticed that the DB-App does not display the Backup anymore. It used to say "Sync and Backup + Activity" on the Apps tabs.
Now it just says "Sync + Activity".
But it´s backing up the new Macbook folders like on the old Macboom as well. This is indicated by the blue and green dots in the finder.
But when I go to the prefs in the DB-App (Manage Backups) - the application offers me to create a new Backup ... Now this is confusing.
Old Macbook: "Username"
New Macbook: "Username_1"
Something is completely messed up within the Library ... and I´ve tried many, many hours with DP-Support ... no solution after weeks now.
I don´t care for the Backups any longer... I just want my clean system back ... But there is no way to stop this Backup from running....
I´d be so happy to get this fixed WITHOUT cleaning my whole Mac ... Because, what I do need to work is the connection to the Dropbox and the other folders/ cloud I´m working with - filled with 3 TB of client jobs... If I set this computer up again from scratch, I am afraid of having to move all these Files into the Dropbox again... this takes weeks to upload...
Thank you in advance for a solution on this nightmare!
