This action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program

Hello,

I need to renome folders but I can't do it.

There is a message : "this action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program"

It' seem that the programm wich di the issue is "Dropbox".

So, how can I switch off dropbox the time that I rename folders, etc. ?

Hi @Mani26750, thanks for the updates!

The best way scenario and workaround is to pause the app when you need to rename, then resume syncing once you're done.

Sometimes because Dropbox "keeps" the file while it syncs the changes, this is why you might be seeing the message as mentioned above.

I have found how to pause Dropbox and I confirm that the issue with the message " This action can't be completed because the folder or a file in it is open in another program" come from Dropbox

So that mean I must pause Drobox in this case ?

There are other solutions ?
