I am trying to copy some picture files to my desktop PC Anyom=ne know how to do this?
Thanks for getting back to us here @Chadwick10!
Since you mentioned clicking the Dropbox icon in the bottom right of your screen, it sounds like you might have the desktop app installed on your computer.
In this case, you'll have a local Dropbox folder on your computer which syncs with your account online.
You can copy/move files into this folder to upload them, and you'll be able to copy/move files from the Dropbox folder to your computer folders too.
Please just bear in mind that moving the files from the Dropbox folder will remove them from your Dropbox account and just keep the files on your computer.
Through the website, you can upload files with the option "Upload files" or "Upload folder" on the right side of the web page.
You can also click the "..." option to the right of your folders/files and choose "Download" to download them to your computer.
Let me know if this helps!
Hi @Chadwick10, thanks for checking in with us.
Out of curiosity, where are you trying to copy the files from?
Is it from the website, the desktop app, or the local Dropbox folder?
Looking forward to hearing back from you!
Lusil,
Very good question. As I am learning to use Dropbox more deeply I am not sure how to answer your question. I open up Dropbox from the icon in the taskbar on the lower right of my screen. At other times I go thru Google. I'd like an explantion of all three. and then the easiest way to copy picture files from Dropbox to my computer.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Regards,
Chad
Daphne,
Yes this was very helpful. Thank you for helping me become more adept and familiar with all that Dropbox has to offer.
