I've noticed that my local Dropbox files have not been syncing lately. Normally you just have to "Right-click" on these files/folders and Smart Sync should be in one of the options. Not anymore!
Help!
Thanks for the quick reply Jay.
The problem has been solved, restarted my computer twice and then it was working again. Strange but everything is A ok now.
THanks again!

what can I do
Hi Jay:
I have been added to a dropbox business plan.
I do not have the smart sync option.
I have rebooted my computer as indicated above, I still do not have the option.
Help.
Thanks.
Sabrina
I have the same problem: Smart Sync not showing in context menu. I have Windows 10 and a Dropbox Professional subscription and have restarted several times.
Sorry to hear about this @IrisDR.
At first, can you please forward me a screenshot of what options you get when you right click on your Dropbox files so I can have a better look into this?
Also, can you check the desktop app's preferences and specifically the 'Sync' tab? Do you, by any chance, see an option to 'opt into' using Smart Sync?
Let me know what you find and we'll take it from there. Thank you!
Is it possible the option doesnt show while a sync is underway?
All my files have green ticks and it says up to date. But still the smart sync option does not show. I have Dropbox Plus.
Could you let me know if you've opted into using it first @KarinLomes?
To do this, please go to your desktop app's preferences and navigate to the 'Sync' tab. Do you see the option to enable Smart Sync there?
Let me know what you find!
That's it! It says it isn't enabled. But nothing happens when I click enable.
Thanks so much for the help!
In that case, can you reboot your computer and try again @KarinLomes?
I'd suggest also making sure that you've installed the relevant Smart Sync drive (or system extension) on your computer as per the following Help Center article:
https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/sync-uploads/filesystem-integration
Let me know how this goes!
Its working!! The reboot did it, as my security settings were already good to accept system extensions.
Thanks a million Walter!
You're most welcome @KarinLomes - I'm glad I could help
Have a great rest of your day!
Hi,
I am having a similar issue, but only with certain files. After making a file local, I am unable to make it online-only again. The option disappeaers from the context menu. Other files in the same folder still have the sync option showing up in the context menu, just not the ones I've made local.
I've tried restarting. Moving the files to different folders. Renaming them. Etc.
Same folder, different file. This is with the sync option missing. Same folder, different file. This is with the sync option available.
Hi @abcdefgarin, could you try rebooting your device to see if this helps?
