Obtain URLs for multiple files

Question

Like many people, I need to upload multiple image files to our website (and other websites).  At present, the standard DropBox capability is to generate a individual image file URLs (ie one at a time) - a very time consuming process when dealing with *lots* of files.

Is there any way to obtain a bulk URL listing for all the files in a Folder?

(This cannot be an unusual request - have heard from too many others that they need to do the same thing ...)

Yah - have since found that PhotoBucket has exactly this capability - select all of the files concerned, click "LINK" and it provides 4 different versions of the links (eg for emails, for website access, for ...) and copies the selected option to your Clipboard.  Swop to Excel and it pasts multiple links into separate cells in a column.  Takes all of less than 5 minutes.

I can now take that spreadsheet - which contains all of our new product information - and do a CSV import to our website.  As part of the import, it pulls a copy of the image file from PhotoBucket and links it to the product listing ... the image now resident on and displayed from our webserver (or Amazon, eBay, retail clients, ...).

Of course ... it means I'm now using ***yet another bl**y program***.  I really don't like having to have files scattered across DropBox, PhotoBucket, OneDrive, GoogleDrive, iCloud, .... all because you can't do the ****** properly with just one program.  The fact that I can access many of these services at no cost is not relevant.

But thanks for the advice re a FEATURE request.

That sounds like a very good use; thanks for elaborating. But that would be a FEATURE request.

Currently for a LINK to work between servers you have to change the ?dl=0  at the end of the link to ?dl=true   (or ?dl=1)

Assuming these links will stick around for a while, after they are created you can see them at https://www.dropbox.com/links/your_links

but the bottom line is you would still have to do it manually.

Go explain the use and enter a feature request.

You misunderstand - I do not want to link the files to the website.

I need to UPLOAD the files TO the website from DropBox, as part of new products being listed.

Likewise we need to make them available to retail clients via spreadsheet so that they can download individual files (NOT the entire folder) for use on *their* websites.

You can't do either of these via a Folder URL - only by individual file URLs.

Once uploaded (or downloaded), DropBox has no further part in things.
