@"Samurai000" wrote: So should I upgrade now? I just want to talk through phone or web mtg before I started upgrade because this is similar situation I ve lost all my data from my old PC... For info you can only get email and chat support after you pay. There is none (rightfully if we are honest) before - because, being…

Do you have an app on your phone to open and edit the files? Dropbox simply gets the file to the phone and shows a preview of it, it doesn't control the editing or resaving of it

@"Carola11" wrote:Hi, it still is not working. You said it is not Dropbox, yet it only affects the PDF files in DropBox. PLease help! It isnt a Dropbox issue. It is a OneDrive issue. That icon is from their software. It means THAT is what is linking to the files, not Dropbox. You have almost certainly got both OneDrive and…

Hi @"Samurai000" Wow the English is very very good, well done! As syncing stopped in April does that mean you ran out of quota? What did https://www.dropbox.com/manage/ show? My guess is 1 of 2 things has happened: * You ran out of quota, at which point all syncing stops. That data then never got to Dropbox because it…

@"nurhidayaty " wrote:Yours and Mark`s presumption does not make sense. If I am not able to find a cancelling subscription button because I`m a basic account - how on earth can I cancel it? Because you have upgraded a different account. Dropbox cannot charge, or in fact any service cannot charge, a product without being…
-
Hi @"yomaocorp" Until you are actually a paid user of Dropbox Business the bandwidth limits and support options are set at the lower plan of Basic. Therefore even starting a new trial will do exactly the same thing. This is detailed at https://help.dropbox.com/share/banned-links. You need to pay to use the services fully.…

Just to echo what @"Jay" said, when Dropbox deletes an unused account it doesn't delete anything locally on the device. So you shouldn't need to use anything to get the files back - they will all be on the \Dropbox folder itself as long as they have sync'd and are set to local

@"nurhidayaty " wrote:I just found out that I am basic the whole time. Why the ****** I am being charged for the past bloody 3 years! Basic means FREE! That means you have upgraded a different account then. Which means its almost certain you have started a trial and not cancelled it. As I said they cannot charge you…

PayPal can only pay the service if you give it the credentials to do so. More than likely you forgot to cancel a trial. If you DIDNT do that then its PayPal you need to talk to as your account has been compromised, however, waiting 3 years is a really really long time! www.dropbox.com/support is who you need to talk to…

It really isnt made clear is it @"Stefan87" ? Pleased its sorted though!

If you didnt give Dropbox Sign (https://sign.dropbox.com/) your details you need to contact your bank. If you DID then its legit. Note you wont find it on this site you need to go direct to Dropbox Sign: https://sign.dropbox.com/

Can I just add to voice of people annoyed by this? Its a feature I use a lot and the lack of communication is shocking.... but sadly what I've come to expect @"DBX_Pedro".

How long ago is it since you logged in @"DIABLO25"? If its over 12 months I'm afraid the files are not recoverable after being removed for inactivity.

That was a feature Dropbox trialled and removed 😞 Its one I'd love but as it was removed I cannot see coming back

@"Hugo42" wrote:Can the client company set up one Dropbox Plus account called say, access@clientcompany.com and all their team use that single email to gain access to the photo library ? No. Sharing of accounts would be against the T&C's and could cause the accounts to be removed with all data permanently lost. However, if…

You need to contact support via www.dropbox.com/support while not logged in, even here. So use something like an incognito window.
-
Quickest and easiest way then would be to just copy and paste all files to another location before the share is closed 🙂
-
You should be able to just reinstall Dropbox from the App Store and log in with your username etc. and everything, as long as it uploaded, should be there.
-
Does it give any errors etc.?en I can't launch the Dropbox app on Win11 - it keeps disappearing. Comentario por Mark October 2024

Pleased its sorted - just to clarify that they have the files on their online Dropbox account not their phone 🙂

We need more info here @"Wendy Wilkes" What are you trying to do and how? On what etc.

@"albireo13" wrote:On the desktop there is no DB icon in the status bar on the WIN11 desktop! Not sure what's up with that. Dropbox isnt running 🙂 Simply restart the program from the Start menu or reinstall - www.dropbox.com/downloading

Image helps, thank you! Basically that means they have those images saved twice on their device - once in your shared folder and once somewhere else. Dropbox doesn't differentiate between that so it will show everything up on the Photos tab even if its duplicate or triplicate.
-
Have you actually checked Dropbox is running though @"albireo13" ? The files and folders are just that they are folder on your machine like every other - Dropbox is just a folder on the machine like Desktop, Documents etc. So it is ALWAYS there. The app needs to run, and you need to see it, on the status bar near the clock…
-
Hi @"albireo13" Have you given them time to sync? Remember the folder on your machine is just that, a folder, so a move in to it is almost instant but if they are large files it takes time to upload. Secondly do they appear online at www.dropbox.com ? If not what does the Dropbox icon say on the Desktop PC? Is Dropbox even…

Hi @"mayukhsarma" Yes 🙂 You can do that at https://www.dropbox.com/account/security in the devices section

Does it give any messages or errors or anything @"Cassie2024" ?
