No problem at all! I wish I had better news to share with you.
-
Thanks for following-up. If the files have been permanently deleted, then I'm afraid it’s not possible to restore them at all (either on your end, or by contacting our support team). That is because permanently deleted files are immediately removed from our servers, as well. What I’d recommend though is to search your…

Ah, thanks for clarifying! If it’s disabled, then the desktop app will be updated based on the latest stable app version each time.

Thanks for posting on our forum today, @BCUser! Welcome aboard. Do you, by any chance, mean that your files were deleted because your Dropbox Basic account went over-quota? If yes, when were those files deleted? Now, based on the error message you mention, I understand that you couldn't restore this specific folder on your…

Hi @Datasave_vn98, welcome to our Community. Can you describe to me the exact steps that you took to delete those Dropbox files? Did you also visit your Events page and you were unable to restore them from there? Keep me posted.
-
Hi @vladimiros! Thanks for your post. Can you clarify for me if she’s already followed all of the steps mentioned here? Was the referral marked as ineligible after she followed the last step to verify her Dropbox email address? Let me know, and we’ll take it from there.

Hey @mrfamilyman1990. I just checked your ticket and I see you’ve replied to my colleague. She’ll look into your case as soon as possible, and get back to you in the same email thread, so please wait for her reply.
-
Hi @Fabio L. and @Michele_B! Do you both have “Early access” enabled on this page? You're also right in what you mention, Michele; all desktop app versions that have a 4 in the middle are non-beta/stable versions indeed.
-
I’ve logged a new ticket for you, @MissingMyFiles. Please check it, as soon as you get the chance, and reply back to it. Thanks!

Can you send me a screenshot of what you see in your computer’s system tray (at the bottom right part of your screen)?
-
Hi from me too, @Jeff047! Can you try this link once again?
-
@HayDegha, have you tried restarting the mobile app in the meantime? If you did, and you experience the same behavior, please go ahead and clear its cache, and then restart one more time. To clear the Dropbox app’s cache, you can go to your Account tab, tap on the gear icon (top right corner) and scroll down to the bottom…

Thanks for posting this on our Community, @xelnx. Can you let me know your current Dropbox plan, as shown here? Feel free to copy and paste a screenshot of it in this thread, if you wish. Have you tried accessing your Dropbox account via a different browser, as a test? Are you seeing the banner there, as well? Keep me in…

Hi from me, as well. Besides hitting “Cancel” and going back to the Microsoft Word file you were working on, did you happen to take any other action, like renaming it, for example? As for restoring the file you mentioned in your OP, did you do this directly via your Deleted files page here? Can you remember when the issue…

@MissingMyFiles, can you please send me a screenshot of your Backups page here, too?
-
This sounds like expected behavior, I’m afraid. If you download a file via the Dropbox website, the creation/modification date will reflect the one of the download, rather than the original one (and it’s not something that can be changed via the Dropbox settings). That is because you’re downloading a separate local copy of…

That’s great to hear! I appreciate you sharing your solution on the forum, too. If you need something else along the way, feel free to let me know.
-
Thanks for the follow-up! Based on your first screenshot, it looks like Dropbox Backup hadn’t been enabled indeed. If you check again the email address this email was sent to and compare it with the one on this page, do they both look identical? Keep in mind that even the difference of one dot means that these are two…
-
I’m sorry to hear about this, @HakimHAYASHI. As a first step, can you clarify the exact steps you followed to remove Dropbox from your computer? Did you do it this way? Do you mind copying and pasting a screenshot of your Backups page here, as well? Besides that, what you mention about your Dropbox account’s space is quite…

Hi again! In this case, it’s better to wait till next week, so that the third-party app can be temporarily paused. Since there’s a chance that it interferes with Dropbox, this would help to isolate the issue more.
-
Thanks for the screenshots! Can you send me one more visual of the options you see when right-clicking on the files, or when right-clicking directly on the Dropbox folder?
-
I’m afraid that deleting files/folders from within the shared folder instead will affect the rest of the members, as those will also be removed from their Dropbox accounts in this scenario.
-
If you don’t need access to that shared folder, you can temporarily delete it from your Dropbox account (this shouldn’t affect the rest of the folder members, and you can add the folder back later on in the future). Otherwise, if you don’t want to remove this folder, you can perhaps try to gain more space for free by…
-
@Spiral_G, can you send me a screenshot of what you see on this page? It should provide more info on your current storage usage. Feel free to send me a screenshot of the Shared section you found, as well.
-
Please correct me if I’m wrong, but I understand that you’re asking for a way to make multiple files available offline at once. Is this right? If yes, have you tried selecting them all, right-clicking on them and choosing “Make available offline”? You can also right-click on the local Dropbox folder directly and do this.…
-
Thanks for your post, @Cyndie, and welcome to our Community. Have you tried clicking on the gear icon next to “All files” here? If you do this, are you still unable to see the “Organize” > “Find duplicates” option? If you’re trying to do this via your Photos tab instead, then it’s expected to not see the option there. Let…
-
Thanks for posting on the forum, @behindthelines. When saying that you’ve already reinstalled the Dropbox app and removed the app data, I understand that you’ve performed an advanced reinstall with these steps. Is this correct? Can you clarify at what point during the move process the Dropbox app crashes exactly? I’d also…

Lovely, thanks for keeping us in the loop @RTM! Don’t hesitate to give us a nudge for anything else.
-
Thanks for taking the time to provide additional feedback in any case. We appreciate it a lot and I’ll pass the extra info you shared to our team for you. If you want us to look into something else, at any given point, please let us know.
-
Thanks for posting here, @RTM. Let’s have a look into this. First off, can you clarify what happened to the drive you currently have the Dropbox folder saved on? Is it an internal or external drive on your computer? As for the external drive you’re trying to move the Dropbox folder to, does it follow all the requirements…
