George B.35 wrote:What gives? Dropbox Backup really is a very, very limited solution - as you said, it doesnt do folders anywhere and doesnt do things like full system drive versions. It used to in beta do any folder but that was removed. Feel free to post over at Ideas | The Dropbox Community about what you'd like to see,…

This has been policy for a while now due to abuse: https://help.dropbox.com/storage-space/over-storage-limit "If you don’t bring your account under quota, your least recently modified files first may be deleted to bring your account under the limit. Only files you own will be removed. We’ll notify you before this happens…

But is whatever application accessing the map closed? Dropbox cannot sync open files. Or, have you tried restarting Dropbox or the machine?

If the file was deleted the linked event with it is also removed, so, that would explain that :) Pleased you found it! michaelytt wrote:How do I access events from my Drop Box account? I only seem to be able to access that from the link in your post. The only way is via that link I'm afraid. Dropbox have really unhelpfully…

michaelytt wrote:Why can't I restore my file? How long ago did you edit the version before this one? Dropox doesnt keep version history longer than 30 days (or 180 if paid). So, if for example you edit a file in Jan, then today edited it again (in Nov) and then wanted to restore to the Jan version you couldnt as it is over…

Sorry I'm not sure what your question is? Have you looked at http://dropbox.com/dash ?

anmipa wrote:I'm confused. You bought Boxcryptor and made it less than it what was originally. Dropbox have said on a few occasions they will only offer this as an enterprise product - thats why they bought it, not for non-buisness consumers I'm afraid.

This is something I've asked, in fact begged for, for years. The fact that Dropbox shows everything on that tab is an awful security issue and means we cannot store a lot of work information on Dropbox.

Welcome @"DaveLyons" ! I have a similaar sort of set up but as you cannot differentiate on uploaded files (although it does ask email when people upload....!) what I've done is have a folder with the dead original title of 'File Requests' and inside there a structure of lots of subfolders, each relating to a Project or…

I believe this is expected behaviour as it has been deprecated: Dropbox Integration with Zoom deprecated. | The Dropbox Community

Just to add to this and make clear, if you delete the files off your account they WILL also delete for everybody else. You need to unshare whole folders first to avoid this from happening. It isnt possible to unshare subdirectories only.

Mom2Chaos wrote:I AM trying to transfer 550 GB, but I have plenty of room Do you have space on your hard drive as thats where the files are trying to be saved? Hi @"Archiblog" I actually think the issue they've referred to relates to the number of files you can store rather than the size of the files. The soft limit on files is usually around 300,000 irrespective of the size of them: https://help.dropbox.com/storage-space/file-storage-limit

Uriel1 wrote:So, maybe the solution is not to logged in at the same time? You can try it, but, I'm not sure it would work - it certainly wont both at the same time.
