How did you upload them @"LaTay" ? Was it the website or using the desktop software? If its the desktop software they will have been moved from the hard drive in to the Dropbox folder. If it was the website they wont have been moved, so should still be on your HDD, but will have stopped uploading as soon as internet…

This post is two years old and when it was in beta. Since then that option has been removed and you can now only use certain folders. There is no way around this.

Sorry it wasnt answer you wanted, it is also probably worth mentioning that you can unsubscribe from all of the other emails via the links on the bottom of emails, or, via the Account menu option.

As long as you replace the file identically (i.e. open and save the file in Word, for example, on your computer and just hit SAVE) it will just update. If you delete it first, however, then the link would break. A better work around, more stable, is to share a link to a folder and update / edit files inside that :)

coppo23 wrote:I need to move(create shortcut to) This is where it wont work in Dropbox I'm afraid - Dropbox doesn't sync symlinks or junctions, it just ignores them. However, you mention the Google API, so if you are good at programming could you do something with Dropbox's API?

That isnt the lastest version actually. This one is: Stable Build 223.4.4909 | The Dropbox Community Is the update not updating as there is an error or are you not wanting to update thinking its most recent?

Have a look at Dropbox Rewind which may do it all for you in one go :)

As I said before the file isnt its the link or the transfer. Files do not expire. I posted the URL's for you to see what transfers and links you have so you can see them, or, if you click on the notification you received it will take you to it and tell you what it is.
-
Just to confirm, again, that Dropbox does not expire files. They are not removed. There is no such thing as 'expiring files' as I said - your other post I've killed off so things dont get complicated. Except, as I said above, files are only removed if you are over quota or inactive. But after warning.

I agree :) I suggest creating an Idea for it on the Dropbox Idea's area to see if others also would like it.

Warren J. wrote:Does Dropbox sometimes remove files from your folder without your request or permission? No it doesnt.
