You can use Dash to search for people already connected to you, but, Dropbox doesnt have a search tool to find people you are not already connected with. So Dash would find emails/messages etc. linked to them if you install it.

Dropbox Vault has been deprecated on 4th of March: Vault termination | The Dropbox Community Unfortunately, there is no native replacement for this. If you want to encrypt files on a machine now you'd need to purchase/use a third party solution.

I'm not aware of any software that can do this for you - everything needs to be locally on a machine to do the move. There used to be http://mover.io but that seems to have been closed down.

So if you change email addresses on an account it will update all shared folders etc. to that new email address. You and them wont need to do anything about that - it will just happen. They arent told you've changed email, but, would see the new email if they went to look at it. So, if you then want to set shares up on the…

Can you post a screenshot of the error please? It is talking about OneDrive lots which is a different service. You could also try updating the app at http://www.dropbox.com/downloading as 200.4.7123 is very out of date.
-
It should just auto regenerate next time Dropbox is ran - but you may find things like Selective Sync settings need to be reset up and it will have to fully reindex everything again
-
You either go to the link they've sent you in email or view at http://www.dropbox.com/home - if its a Shared folder you may need to accept it via http://www.dropbox.com/share first AS LONG AS you have enough quota to do so.

How long ago did you last log on? If it was over 12 months ago Dropbox wipes accounts for inactivity. No idea why you are still getting over account limit emails though. Are you sure you signed in to the right account? What is http://www.dropbox.com/events showing?

rmhines wrote:Appreciate if the product management team is fully aware of this awkward situation They are - its been like this since its inception and previous official communication is that there is no plans to change it. Obviously I dont work for Dropbox and things can change, but, I'd not expect this to if I'm honest.…

rmhines wrote:suddenly Dropbox is collecting revenue as if they're storing multiple copies. It's double-dipping that turns a collaborative feature into a revenue multiplier. Yes it will work and it should be almost instant as long as the old email you want to reuse isnt part of a Business Team as sometimes they lock down emails from being reused.

Have you checked the backups page? Thats the usual culprit. The other one is any shared folders: http://www.dropbox.com/share Can you post what you see at http://www.dropbox.com/plans ?

Just to check, all you can see is one photo at http://www.dropbox.com/home ? If so have you also checked http://www.dropbox.com/backups ?

Jaholy1 wrote:I did see 10.13 listed on the website still, but if syncing for the older OS is going to end we really need to know Dropbox will, at some point, stop syncing for 10.14, as to when nobody will know that until it is announced. So, it may be that you need to think of some measures to mitigate this before it…

bengal_puppy wrote:Mark it is well supported on iOS. It was last updated more than two years ago... It is supported as Apple hasn't changed the app requirements yet. It will happen sooner or later though.

I dont believe the mobile apps are supported anymore (in fact I'm shocked they are still listing). I am pretty sure the official line now is to use the paper website I'm afraid.

Have you got Dropbox on a different drive location to where its expecting it?

daletidy wrote:It's been years and this still hasn't been addressed. To be fair to Dropbox nobody has commented on this post in years and it is in the wrong area for Ideas to be looked at - this is the bug section. As Walter said try posting it over Ideas | The Dropbox Community and see if anybody else picks it up - tell…

Theres a similar post regarding Windows 11 which may be worth looking at? The Dropbox desktop app is slow when navigating my Dropbox folder or viewing files on Windows 11 | The Dropbox Community

Is it worth checking out this thread to see if its relevant? If it is post on that one to flag another person having the issue.

That is a very, very old version of Dropbox. Try updating it via http://www.dropbox.com/downloading and then relinking it

Craig Morris wrote:surely you could have made this change by now? I doubt it will come if I'm honest. They trialled it on some betas and found it caused data loss and syncing issues and so revoked it quite quickly.

Interesting.... I'm still on Essentials

Roga41 wrote:Our Professional Plan is technically just the same with the Essentials Plan No it isnt. At a very quick look you've removed the signature options which, for me, was the huge sell of Essentials over Professional.

Unfortunately the only people who can help is Dropbox support and if you dont have the 2FA security information the account is almost certainly lost. 2FA can only be set up by somebody authorised to access the account - i.e. you OR a bad actor, but, to do that they'd needed to know your username/password. Its unusual for…

I use Outlook at have no issues at all with things displaying as they should - also I imagine this place would be overrun with comments if it was a widespread issue (as Outlook is one of the most common clients around, especially for corporate users). Can you post some example screenshots? Especially if it is also not…
