bengal_puppy wrote:Mark it is well supported on iOS. It was last updated more than two years ago... It is supported as Apple hasn't changed the app requirements yet. It will happen sooner or later though.

I dont believe the mobile apps are supported anymore (in fact I'm shocked they are still listing). I am pretty sure the official line now is to use the paper website I'm afraid.

Have you got Dropbox on a different drive location to where its expecting it?

To be fair to Dropbox nobody has commented on this post in years and it is in the wrong area for Ideas to be looked at - this is the bug section. As Walter said try posting it over Ideas | The Dropbox Community and see if anybody else picks it up - tell…

Theres a similar post regarding Windows 11 which may be worth looking at? The Dropbox desktop app is slow when navigating my Dropbox folder or viewing files on Windows 11 | The Dropbox Community

Is it worth checking out this thread to see if its relevant? If it is post on that one to flag another person having the issue.

That is a very, very old version of Dropbox. Try updating it via http://www.dropbox.com/downloading and then relinking it

Craig Morris wrote:surely you could have made this change by now? I doubt it will come if I'm honest. They trialled it on some betas and found it caused data loss and syncing issues and so revoked it quite quickly.

Interesting.... I'm still on Essentials

Roga41 wrote:Our Professional Plan is technically just the same with the Essentials Plan No it isnt. At a very quick look you've removed the signature options which, for me, was the huge sell of Essentials over Professional.

Unfortunately the only people who can help is Dropbox support and if you dont have the 2FA security information the account is almost certainly lost. 2FA can only be set up by somebody authorised to access the account - i.e. you OR a bad actor, but, to do that they'd needed to know your username/password. Its unusual for…

I use Outlook at have no issues at all with things displaying as they should - also I imagine this place would be overrun with comments if it was a widespread issue (as Outlook is one of the most common clients around, especially for corporate users). Can you post some example screenshots? Especially if it is also not…

You have been banned for some reason. As you have now paid contact support via http://www.dropbox.com/support - note it doesnt work if you are on a trial AND removing bans doesnt work for bandwidth breaches if you do a trial, only if paid

My guess is they have not just been deleted but also permanently deleted (which is very common in these sort of attacks) - and if so they are not recoverable via Dropbox. Does it give any errors @"ducsue" ?

Lucben wrote:Dropbox should be able to recognise folders and files that are offline and match the online content, if the online files used to be managed using the desktop app You can do that. jobee2 wrote:If I could place the Dropbox folder outside of my user folder on my Mac and my colleague did the same would that make the path consistent for all users? Dropbox wouldnt work then, however, as Dropbox can only sync whatever is inside of \Dropbox I'm afraid

Unfortunately you will get the exact same issue with all cloud solutions because they all store the files locally and different depending upon setup. For example in folders that usually start something like \User\Mark\Dropbox where 'Mark' is the persons name.

Ah, I was looking at where you posted it as number 1. If they permanently deleted it then again, probably no way to recover I am afraid. Do you not have backups? The only thing you can do is go to http://www.dropbox.com/get_help and ask for assistance there, but, please dont hold your breath :(

Can you elaborate a bit on what exactly you want to achieve? You could use Dropbox links and put them in cells to open other files in Dropbox on its website BUT these would not open a file locally on your machine - i.e. they wouldnt open in say \Documents\Frank's Files.
