I can't add subtitles to a video file. It says "Failed to add subtitles. There is some error in the selected file". Format .srt, Unicode UTF-8 encoding.
Hey @Fractal Tree - sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that this should be resolved now.
Can you check and let us know if you're still having issues?
This is a global problem. Even in the same file, the same subtitles that were loaded before are now not loaded.
Thanks for posting this here, @Fractal Tree!
Let’s check a few things first; are you having this issue with any other videos on Dropbox Replay?
Have you purchased the Replay add-on, and is this something that you’re experiencing on multiple different browsers?
If you haven't tried this already, please check a different browser, and let me know how it goes.
This will help me guide you further.
Previously I just added subtitles. Now I get an error in literally every video. It doesn't matter if it's x264 or x265 codec. It doesn't matter if it's English subtitles or another language.
I use local subtitles, not transcriptions created in Replay. I tried Firefox, Chrome, Edge browsers - there was an error everywhere.
I think that every user is facing this problem now, it does not depend on me.
I even created subtitles for your "Replay Demo" video. Same error. Subtitles not added.
Hi @Fractal Tree, we have received similar reports, and our team are investigating this matter in more detail.
We'll report back once we have any updates.
Hey, everything works now! Thanks for solving the problem!
Hello!
The same problem here. SRT subtitles are not visible after I loaded the file it Replay.
Can you help?
The same problem here. SRT UTF-8 subtitles are not visible after I loaded the file it Replay.
Hi @valer2021 - sorry to hear about this.
Could you clear your browser's cache and/or try another browser and let us know if you get the same results?
If you do, I'd appreciate a screenshot too.
I deleted cookies and nothing changed.
There's really not much to show in a screenshot. The SRT is selected but the subtitles are not visible when the video plays.
I see, thanks for the additional information and the screenshot too @valer2021 - did you just clear the cookies from your browser or did you try another browser as well?
Does this happen for all files, some or only one in particular?
So, it seems that only the subtitles contained in the same folder as the video work.
The one that wasn't working was in my computer.
