You need to contact support for assistance via www.dropbox.com/support. Note that refunds are not usually issued unless there is a legal reason why they should be.

Hi @"BConnell10" It means it will delete from all Dropbox connected files/folders. So, if that folder is in Dropbox on any device it will be removed. If it isnt then it wont 🙂
-
Hi @"Brooknei" No not employee and unfortunately Dropbox never release roadmaps 😞
-
Hi @"Brooknei" No, its not possible to add more data or increase recovery.
-
You should be able to see them as long as you didnt delete/remove them from your account (i.e. they did actually upload) AND you logged in to your account frequently. If you didnt log in for over 12 months the account is removed and its not possible to recover.
-
Unless the account you are accessing is a paid for business account you can only have 1 Dropbox account on a device at a time. If it is you can link them together 🙂 So, if it isnt, you either need to remove your personal one or just use the website to access your work one.
-
Hi @"Graphics MWI" Thats a shared folder, and no, once an account is deleted all records/data etc. on that are totally removed. The only way to resolve now is to set up a new shared folder and add everybody in again.
-
So, Team folders are only available if you are a paid Business account now: https://help.dropbox.com/organize/team-folders Therefore I assume you mean Shared Folders. So, if nobody is an Admin then there is no way to do this other than setting up new shared folders I'm afraid.
-
Hi @"Graphics MWI" Is this a paid for Dropbox business account? I believe the only way to do it is for another Admin on the account to set you back up.

@"jaysmith" wrote:Hi, I am curious if there is a way to create a folder that is "UPLOAD ONLY" to allow clients to upload videos to a folder, but not view the contents of the folder. Anyone found a solution for this? It sounds like Dropbox Requests is what you need 🙂 https://help.dropbox.com/share/create-file-request
-
If they have been added to a shared folder which they then have read write access to it uses up their space and their quota. If, however, you just need an upload off them cancel the share and send them a Requests link: www.dropbox.com/requests.

Hi @"manarh" Another UK VAT registered business here.... however, I've always taken it to be that I am paying an Irish registered subsidiary of Dropbox rather than a UK one - hence the name shown at the top is Dropbox Ireland. Same as Microsoft for example. As I'm not on a Business plan I cannot actually see a VAT line on…

What version of Dropbox are you using @"jadran" ? If your version number is in the format xx.3.yy you are on a beta build. If it is xx.4.yy then it is a stable build. You can see and download all beta and stable builds here.

Support tickets can be logged 247 but replies are Monday to Friday only, yes.

Hi @"cristian b.4" I'm afraid there is no such feature in Dropbox. You'd need to either write something yourself using the API, or, see if any third party pieces of software could do it. I'd also strongly suggest not using Dropbox for hosting of websites (especially e-commerce ones) due to the bandwidth limitations and…
-
You need to log a ticket with support to ask for assistance. As it is an account issue nobody is able to assist on the forums. www.dropbox.com/support.
-
Hi @"tomomi81" Simply put, you cannot. If you go to the page where you add/take people out of the Share it will have (Owner) next to the name of whoever owns it. If nobody has that the folder has no owner so all you can do is all leave and delete it locally and then set up a new one if needed.
-
Thats not quite what I meant... did you previously have 2 Dropbox accounts on your device or just one? If its just the one do you see the shared folder in the Dropbox app or on the website? If not you need to be reinvited to it
-
If you are in a team it can take a few hours, but, the other thing to just look at is www.dropbox.com/backups.
-
Hi @"crodriguez" Are both account still linked in the Dropbox app and on the Dropbox website (note to do this now the Business account must be a paid business one)?
-
Dropbox cannot delete files automatically so something is happening to do it. If you click on a file and restore it and then click on 'View Previous Versions' one you will be able to see where/when it was deleted and see and by who and where. That may give some clues as to what/where and who is going doing it
-
If they sent you a link its a read only folder so its designed to be viewable via the website only. The person who sent you the link needs to send you a shared folder rather than a link 🙂
-
What does Dropbox say when it is running if you mouse over its icon on the status bar?
-
Hi @"Melisalx" No I'm afraid you dont. You'll learn lots tho!
-
Hi @"TeeB" Dropbox itself does not have the capability to create CSV files (or any file for that matter) of images and links for you. That is something you'd need to do manually or use third party software to do. In terms of plans they are all at www.dropbox.com/plans and it pretty much depends upon how much storage you…
-
Hi @"TT-2022" You cannot move bonus space to a different account I'm afraid. All you can do is swap the emails on the accounts by using a third as a temp one to release the one you want to use - note you will need to reupload things between the accounts etc.

@"EventHorizon" wrote: Or put another way, how do users implement a secure backup system? You really should already have a backup system in place to cover things like this, or, even malware etc. You can help protect by being paid which gives 180 days of recovery but you should ALWAYS have additional backups in place and…
-
Looks like you may have activated Dropbox backup. Have a look at www.dropbox.com/backups. Also just a note that deleted items dont use quota, so permanent deletion isnt needed 🙂
-
@"EventHorizon" wrote:I figured the app was smart enough to give me a consolidated view of both of my dropbox accounts. @"EventHorizon" just to add here - unless one of the accounts is a paid for business account you cannot see both on a device at the same time.
-
Hi @"TOCCO06" That isnt possible with Dropbox, no, simply put because its something the operating system has to do rather than Dropbox. Thats because its the folders itself you need to protect.
