Hi @"Chris1825282" I'm afraid you cannot - there is no way to recover deleted files after the recovery window expires (i.e. 30 days for free or 180 days for paid). Upgrades are also not retroactive.
-
Hi @"IMCZug" As you are not the owner you cannot add/remove people. The owner has to do that, or, delegate responsibility to others to do so. If they didnt do they or for whatever reason now cannot do that the only thing you can do is set up a new folder structure. Dropbox wont be able to change the owner for you. Being…

Hi @"x2x6" Easiest way to do this is simply get a password reset from www.dropbox.com/forgot for the email, log on and delete either the whole account and start a fresh (use this is you want to move the email to the account you have set up to post here), or all data in it and just use as is.
-
@"Janinec" no. They wont have them. If they are not showing on your online Dropbox account they are not available.
-
Hi @"ggladsjo" Can you post a screengrab?
-
Dropbox updates only literally update the software they dont move things around in your account. Have a look at www.dropbox.com/events to see who/what moved them. If you click on one of the files and 'Restore Previous Versions' it will show you more info about who/what did it.
-
Hi @"Cptquirk" Sadly you cannot do that - shared folders use up the space of everybody within the share. So if the folder is, for example, 3gb in size they need at least 3gb of free space within their account to access it.
-
@"Janinec" if they are not showing on your pages and you do not have another account they are not on the Dropbox system, sorry. The Dropbox system logs everything on the Events tab so if not there then its not uploaded (or has been deleted etc.). So from looking at your other posts (linked here) you installed and told…

Unfortunately there is nothing Dropbox can do. If you were out of space syncing hasnt taken place and Dropbox doesnt even know those files existed - they were never uploaded because you had no space.
-
I cannot help even try and work out what is wrong if you arent prepared to troubleshoot. I think this is where I bow out.
-
I'm only trying to help. I'm a volunteer on here so there is no need to be rude. If you dont want it thats fine - I wont reply. The update only impacts software on the device, it doesnt change how links work as that is managed on the website. If they are being asked to sign in the link being sent is either as one which has…
-
The bit that threw me was 'the July patch' line if I'm honest as Dropbox doesnt, and never ever has had, a patch frequency and programme like that. So, if you are sending out a link and people are saying its empty what happens if you go to the link? Is it empty? Can you see the files on your desktop in the Dropbox folder…
-
We need a bit more info @"VK007" as I'm not sure what the issue is. What folder are they trying to access and how? Is it a link? Shared? etc. Remember we cannot see whats happening over your shoulder.
-
Hi @"jdowns" No, there is no way to recover them. You can see what has happened on the account at www.dropbox.com/events around activity like deletions etc. It will only show the most recent ones, however.
-
Without access to the email address or a device logged in there is no way to recover it. All you can do is contact support and ask them to stop future payments. You'll need to contact Dropbox Support directly. Visit the Support page while you're NOT signed in to a Dropbox account, including these forums , and you'll see an…
-
Hi @"jdowns" Yes, Dropbox removes accounts that have not been logged in to in the past 12 months. So any files in that account would be removed after 12 months.
-
@"Leg-o-lasz" as a work around if you go to the folder it is in and click on 'Show Deleted Files' that bit is working 🙂
-
Not with Professional, no. That is something you can only do with a Business licence holding at least 10 seats: https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/security/physical-location-data-storage
-
@"Loy1" - deleted items dont use up quota so its not worth deleting them. Are you seeing anything at www.dropbox.com/home ?
-
All your support options are at www.dropbox.com/support. Live chat is reserved for paying users. Hopefully a member of Dropbox staff will be along though at some point and see this here
-
Sorry. Its not possible to disable this message. Being honest I'm not sure if being paid stops it or not.
-
Hi @"alanazim1990" Dropbox support cannot restore deleted accounts. If it was a personal one as soon as its deleted via the website thats instant and permanent. If it was a business one you need to get the Business Admins to do what @"Hannah" has already said.
-
I'll move this to the API form @"vpj123456789" as they would be better equipped to help 🙂
-
@"RayhanHosain" it seems to be a common issue at the moment. I raised it over a month ago with support but the reply was that a response may take some time 😞
-
Hi @"Kmccullough1948" Do they just need read only access? If so why not consider sharing out links to them? Or maybe even a master link and everything saved in subfolders under it: https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/share/view-only-access
-
Yes. At the moment. Hopefully more features will rollout shortly.
-
Nothing at all 🙂 Quota is simply how much you can store. Same as space.
-
You will need to get support from the API team via the API forum as that is a different set up to the standard links etc. (note that where you posted now is not for developers). Try asking over at https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Developer-API/ct-p/101000041 but make sure you are specific that the request is about API's and…
-
When you are logged in to an account with it you are given the option to input a number and somebody calls you. There is no inbound support available. You can do that at www.dropbox.com/support.
-
@"kal77" until a few weeks ago you couldnt actually share anything within a share so this is a huge improvement already!
