Hi @Fairley, thanks for messaging the Community. When you access your Dropbox Backup page, do you have an option to show your deleted backups? If so, are you able to permanently delete the backup for the external drive? This will help me to assist further!
-
Thanks for the info. Just for clarification, are you uploading from the OneDrive folder on your computer, or from the OneDrive site or mobile app to your Dropbox account?
-
Hi @SimPet, thanks for messaging today. It sounds like you're trying to upload files to the Dropbox site directly, from what you've described. How large are the files you're trying to upload? Do you have enough quota on your account to store the files you're trying to upload? Could you try switching browsers to see if the…

Hi @nomisro, could you let us know more details about what you're experiencing? Whatever info you can provide, even if they seem small, will help us get to the bottom of this together.

Thanks for the info, do you have any other devices that you've previously used with this Dropbox account? Are there any shared folders that you can join according to this page on your account?
-
Hi @Ram_Noham, thanks for your reply. We're happy to see that you were able to resolve this matter regarding your external drive backup. If there's anything else we can assist with, feel free to reply back here!

Hi @AshSIHA, thanks for providing these details. When was the last time you logged into your account prior to now? Do you see any files on the events page or deleted files page? Are you certain that you're logging into the correct Dropbox account under the same email you've used before? Feel free to drop any relevant…

Hi @bblu2095, we haven't received any image as of yet. Did you attempt to send it via email? Could you attach it to your next response here in order for us to see what behavior you're experiencing?
-
Just to clarify, when you mentioned a new installation, did you mean the installation of the Dropbox desktop application, or an OS update or installation, such as a migration of your data from one Mac to another? I've also removed the Dropbox logs for your own security and privacy.

Hi @I_R_H, thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you check to see if Dropbox has Full Disk Access by using the steps in this article? Regarding the Terminal commands for the advanced reinstallation, you only need to change all instances of ~/Dropbox with ~/Library/CloudStorage/Dropbox. This doesn't include the…

Thanks for the update. In this case, the best option would be for you to remove them from your account using the steps in the article I posted earlier, so they won't be visible on your personal account. Once that's done, the quota they used up would be freed, giving you more space on your account.

The steps to leave a shared folder from your current Dropbox account can be found in this article, allowing you to temporarily leave it, and then permanently remove your access to the folder. In relation to deleting the actual files, you'd need to have access to the email address associated with that Dropbox account. This…

Hi @Paul00001, thanks for posting today. It sounds like you're referring to files in a shared folder, and that your current account has read-only access to the folder. With these permissions, it wouldn't be possible to delete the files from that shared folder. Do you want to delete the files specifically, or just remove…

Thanks for the info, I've sent you an email, please could you reply to it when you get a chance?
-
Hi @fanayusof, thanks for providing these details. Just to confirm, did your friends click on the referral that you sent them in order to create their Dropbox account, or did they create the account directly on the Dropbox site? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @Laserkotten, thanks for messaging the Community. As you've noticed, currently it isn't possible to download an entire folder using the Dropbox mobile app. You would need to download the files individually into a folder of your choice on your device. Regarding the zip download on the desktop, if it downloads to a…

Hi @thmheavy, thanks for contacting us. Is it possible that the people activated the referrals while using the same network or VPN connection as your device? This will help me to assist further!

Thanks for the image, if you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link?

Hi @olap, thanks for bringing this to our attention. When you installed the Dropbox desktop application, did you follow the steps in the 'Advanced settings' option to locate the old Dropbox folder? You can see how this works in Step 11 in this article. If you can share any error messages, screenshots or OS/Dropbox specs,…

Hi @XCao, I removed your email for security and privacy purposes. If the account online shows that it has 0 bytes of data, then this means that this account is empty. As you received this email, it could be related to a different email address. I know you've already checked this, but please could you try checking the email…

There isn't anything special about the camera uploads folder, as it's just like the other folders in your Dropbox account. The only two minor differences are that it's the default folder used when you have the camera uploads feature enabled, so your mobile or desktop device will upload photos there automatically. The other…

Hi @denniscmerritt, thanks for messaging the Community. Could you try quitting the Dropbox desktop application to see if the behavior occurs again when attempting to delete files via XnView? Also, when you attempt to delete files, do you receive any kind of error message, either from XnView or Mac OS itself? If you can…

Hi @mrstee, thanks for contacting us! From the screenshots you provided, it looks like your quota is being used up by a Dropbox Backup. Thanks for the input. As this is the message that appeared twice, regardless of the spelling of the file, it might be best to check with Perplexity as to why the result returned was 'unsupported' after a search.
-
As the message states that it's unsupported, it could be a message that the Dropbox API is sending to the Perplexity system. I'd recommend contacting them to see if there's any troubleshooting they can provide to see why this message is appearing.
-
Hi @JanBee, @AdamRykala, thanks for your messages. Did you experience this behavior for the first time recently, or has it been an issue consistently? Just for clarification, is Perplexity a website or an app, and how are you searching directly via this app? If you can share any error messages, logs or OS/Dropbox specs,…
