Hey @"Shelladmin", welcome to the Dropbox Community! If I understand correctly, what's happened here is that you used our selective sync feature to only sync certain folders to your Dropbox folder. No worries, though, it's an easy thing to amend; you'll need to go through the steps in this article and your folders should…

Hey @"SoundsEngaging", thanks for posting your question to our Community today! Indeed, to add someone to your team, you'll need to purchase a license for them; so, you'll purchase the license, add the user, share your files, etc., and when you're done, you can remove the person from your team. This will free up the…

Hey @"The Butler", just circling back here to see if you saw our last reply. If you still need any help feel free to reach out with the information we requested. If this was solved, let us know what worked for you!

Thanks for the screenshots, @"Jeje23"! Can you also send me a screenshot of the properties of both the Europa Express folder and its parent folder? By the way, this doesn't seem to be related to Dropbox, it looks like it has to do with your Windows permissions, but we'll try to get to the bottom of it!
-
Hey @"isickles", thanks for posting to our Community! I moved your post to a thread of its own, as the original thread was a pretty old one. Would you mind clarifying what you'd like to accomplish exactly? If you have a specific idea for a new feature, you can also post it to our Ideas section. I'd definitely suggest…
-
Hey @"tinem", thanks for the nudge here. I wanted to let you know that your feedback is passed along to our team, like the feedback every user has given on this thread. Regarding support, I wanted to clarify that your options depend on your plan. You can see the available support options for your own plan on this page and…

Hi there, @"Jeje23", thanks for letting us know about this. Let's see what we can find; was this folder downloaded from the Dropbox website or was it synced through the Dropbox desktop app? Is the Dropbox desktop app still installed and running on the computer? And can you please send us a screenshot of both the error…

No problem, Susan! Let me know if you need anything else. Have a great weekend!
-
Hi @"Susan S", thanks for your comment here. First, I wanted to say that we appreciate your feedback and we'll make sure to log it accordingly. Regarding Dropbox Passwords, I wanted to provide some clarifications and if you have any more questions, feel free to get back to me! So, Dropbox Passwords is a standalone feature…

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, @"JungleT". Have you tried restarting your device ever since this started happening? If that doesn't help, try uninstalling and reinstalling the Dropbox app as well and let us know how it goes. Thanks in advance.
-
Hey @"candice3", thanks for the additional info. I went ahead and sent you an email, so we can investigate this internally. Just reply back to me when you have a moment. Thanks.
-
Hey everyone, this idea is open! If you like this idea, please share how this would help you, and vote to show your support. Our top-voted ideas are shared with our product teams to investigate in our regular reviews.

Hi there, @"somersetbp", welcome to our Community! Since Dropbox Passwords will be discontinued on October 28th 2025, what we recommend on our side is for you to transfer your passwords to another trusted and secure password manager application such as 1Password. You can see the steps on how to migrate your passwords to…

Hey @"Guy m".4, can you take a look at that article again and check if you're able to do everything that's possible with the updated version of the backup feature? If not, it means you're probably on the older version, so you'll still need to follow the steps in there to update your experience. Let us know how it goes.
-
Thanks for the update, @"radicaledward", I'm glad to see it works on your new user profile. To find out what could be causing this, can you turn off any third party apps, like Walter recommended (including your security apps, antivirus etc.) to see if that makes any difference?
-
Hey @"Verwijs", thanks for your post! Just to clarify this a bit, are you referring to the Dropbox desktop app? And would you like to be able to see what's in your trash and delete it through this option? Or do you perhaps want an option in the desktop app, like a link, that would redirect you to your deleted files on the…
-
Hey @"lthibx", thanks for keeping us updated on this. If you need anything else in the future, just give us a shout. Cheers!
-
Hi there, @"sphereofnoform", thanks for joining the Dropbox Community! Regarding bandwidth when sharing files through links, you'll find all the relevant info here. Exceeding these limits would indeed cause your sharing ability to be paused, so make sure to keep an eye on it when sharing your files. Let me know if you have…
-
Hey @"wildman4", thanks for bringing this to our attention. These visuals are super helpful! Did you recently get the Dropbox for Windows update on your computer perhaps? Can you also try updating the app to the newest stable version that came out yesterday, to see if that makes any difference? Let me know how it goes.
-
Hey @"MH19", the new stable version of the Dropbox app had just come out when Walter suggested that you update to it; perhaps we hadn't given it enough time to update by itself. Did updating the app help at all with your issue?
-
Hey @"gidtbo", thanks for reaching out! From what I can understand, you basically have two different feature requests: * A place/pane on the Dropbox website where tags would be added and viewed * A tag master list from where you can add and delete tags Since that's the case, I would suggest creating two different posts for…

Thanks for reaching out to us, @"khan95osu" and I'm sorry to hear about this. Would you mind clarifying what you mean by "linked accounts"? Do you have multiple Dropbox accounts? Do these pop-ups appear in your upgraded account as well, or just in a free Basic account? Any additional info would be helpful. Thanks.
-
Hi everyone, We wanted to acknowledge the feedback you've shared, as it's invaluable to us. We understand that if there's any disruption to your workflow, this might be frustrating, and we wanted to reassure you, once more, that your thoughts have been passed on internally. -
Hey @"DeniseChew", sorry to see that you're having this issue. After updating your files on your laptop, are you able to see your updates in your Dropbox account online? Are you also getting the exact same error in the screenshot jimbillings posted above? And have you tried reinstalling the Excel and Word apps on your…
-
Thanks for clarifying, @"ADours". I would definitely suggest moving the files out of the Dropbox folder and then back in. I understand this might be inconvenient, however, you can try it with a couple of test files first, to check if it actually helps. Move them out of the Dropbox folder and back in and if that doesn't…
-
Thanks for the nudge here, @"ADours", and sorry to see that people on your team are having this issue. Generally, a red circle with a white “X” means that a file or folder in someone's Dropbox folder can’t update or sync. Does pausing and then resuming the sync process help at all? What if the folder is moved out of the…
-
Thanks for keeping us updated, @"ST2025"! Megan will investigate your issue and will get back to you the soonest possible. Let us know if you need anything else.
-
Not a problem, Fred! I'm happy that you took the time to post your thoughts and our team will also be happy to hear about them, so no worries at all. Feel free to reach out if you have any issues with any of our features or the desktop app itself. Thank you!
-
Thanks for letting us know, @"ericbonsaify1". Have you also received some kind of email notification about your sharing activity or is it just the desktop notifications?
-
Thanks for the clarification, Julie, and thanks for the feedback about this. I've made sure to pass it along to our team and as a workaround, you can actually use our desktop app; when replacing files within your local Dropbox folder, the link shouldn't break, unlike what happens on the website. I hope this helps.
