The Dropbox app is trying to sync folders, and there's no option to stop that.
DB is trying to sync stuff in my Windows folder and I now have 15 sync issues. The "app" is about useless as mammaries on a ******. It lists them, then sends you to the folder if you click "view file," but there is no "don't sync this folder" option available. I can't click the thumbs down icon enough for "was this…

Right click context menu disappeared after update to 224.4.4811
Following the most recent Dropbox update the Dropbox icons no longer appear in the context menu on right-clicking a file. These were very useful, allowing me to copy a link directly without going to the website. I've tried re-installing Dropbox, and editing the registry to move Dropbox items further up the context menu…

Recent Dropbox update seems to have removed the right-click menu options. Any way to get them back?
The recent forced update that matches Dropbox Status icons to Microsoft's OneDrive for always offline/online only/temporarily offline is nice, but this update also seems to have removed the Right-Click menu from Dropbox folders in Windows. The whole menu is just gone. Specifically, what I care most about there are the…

Backup is not saving the files from the folders I selected
I've installed dropbox yesterday, been trying to setup the backup service. Followed all the steps, but it seems to not be working correctly, it takes a looong time for it to finally finish the backup, if it'll finish at all, even though it's just a 1,47gb backup. There immediately comes in the main problem, i've selected…

My Windows desktop app got updated and my files are no longer available offline.
My Dropbox (Essentials) recently updated to v219.4.4463. After the update, it started syncing or indexing a large number of files, even though I didn’t change any of my settings. Hi there, Today, Dropbox automatically updated and ever since I can no longer see the sync icons on my files. I'm not sure how else to get…

I see a grey X next to my Windows files and they can't be opened after disabling computer backup
Hello! I used to use the backup feature of Dropbox for my computer. Notably, this included my Documents folder (on Windows 10). At some point I turned off the backup feature because I thought I didn't need it any more. I thought this would stop the integration with my computer gracefully, but it seems that now many of my…

The Dropbox desktop application will no longer be supported for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 on October 22nd
Congratulations Dropbox! You've just put the nail in the coffin of all W7 users who prefer not to be spied on and constantly used for data scraping! Well done. Add an option for a normal window pop up when using the desktop app.
I am getting extremely tired of programs deciding that they need to do thinks in unique and special ways that just add additional headaches. Dropbox and Google Drive popping out on the side of the screen is cute and all but it also pops out on the wrong monitor, which is something you can't change. It also has no real user…

Will Dropbox ever allow syncing arbitrary directories?
I have been a long time free user of Dropbox. The free plan was enough for an occasional share. But I have a huge photo archive as a photographer, and I also scanned all the family photos and digitized all the VHS and film videos. I have a backup of everything on at least 5 different physical storage media. I am thinking…
