Unfortunately not - Dropbox simply doesnt work like this. All files for Dropbox only sync if they are inside of the 'Dropbox' directory

It seems like something has actively changed on Dropbox as videos are not rendering either now (see here). However as Dropbox is NOT a hosting tool this is not unexpected - they have previously done similar to stop people using Dropbox as a web host, so, my guess is that this may be the same again.
-
As Dropbox isnt a hosting tool, it is possible they are actively blocking the rendering of the sites (they have done this previously). Do the links work if you just use the links and not on a web page?

I've just done a quick search and Brother have released a recent update for some of the printers in April. Have you installed that? https://www.brother.co.uk/support/mfc-l2750dw/downloads They also released new firmware in April.
-
The issue though is that as the issue is with Brothers software Dropbox cannot solve that. They cannot change the scripts etc. that they use. The can, and do, offer plenty of support if they want it via the API Team - which they'll have access to already. BUT they need to do it.
-
@"DBinBigD" Jay is an official Dropbox representative. However, the issue remains that, unfortunately, it is up to Brother (and other suppliers) to update API keys, etc. if they expire or are out of date. It sounds like the software link they are using has expired. An update/upgrade to the software / firmware may work

How long have you given it? What does it say if you mouse over the Dropbox icon?
-
You can delete previously linked devices at https://www.dropbox.com/account/security
-
Have you checked it via an incognito window? What about others clearing cache/cookies etc.?
-
That usually happens if you are using a similar network/device that somebody else has used. Are you on a device which has had Dropbox on before?
-
Hi @"CGH7" Have you tried clearing cache/cookies and temp internet files?

If they files were deleted from another device then that would trigger the 30 day window - it just wouldnt sync to devices until they were connected to the internet. So, in theory, a device may never get that 'delete' command if it never re-connected to Dropbox. Have you tried searching on the local machine to see if…

There is no way to restore back I'm afraid.

You can possibly see at www.dropbox.com/support @"MarcoPaolo"

Hi @"jasonhackwith" Not 100% sure what is going on (I dont work for Dropbox so apologies I cant see threads etc.), however, support is a disgrace unfortunaetly. In terms of some of the comments I've seen I do know that if you selective sync a folder which HAS NOT yet uploaded to Dropbox the files are deleted even if not…

@"Kateymw" and @"hilpara" I think this is now fixed... not that Dropbox have communicated anything with me though 😞

@"CDH10" wrote: Did Dropbox delete them when they created the paid tiers? I am so sad and frustrated. No. They only delete after 12 months of an account not being used - but they do send multiple warnings of this happening.

There is no way to create on via Dropbox I'm afraid.
-
The only way is training, I'm afraid. The other thing to remember here is that Dropbox automatically saves all changes to the file, so unless you File -> Save as immediately, it will overwrite something. However, what I would say is that the risk of data loss here is massive. Dropbox simply isnt designed, or intended, to…

@"SoerenAN" wrote:Is there a better forum for such? I'd suggest maybe asking around some of the WordPress hosting sites / add ons etc. and see if there forums can help

That isnt a new configuration - Dropbox isnt working on your device. My guess here is that you dont have Dropbox installed or running. Have you checked? What is it saying if you mouse over its icon on the status bar?
-
Hi @"NiciM" You arent trying to double sync are you - i.e. to OneDrive and Dropbox? That isnt possbile within either applications (or any cloud sync tools). It does cause issues like this

@"Wilhelmus" wrote:No Mark, the only error is that the icon does not appear and the connection with mij account is not possible. But the synchronisation works. Regards, Wim I have a feeling your issue may be related to this post. At the moment I have no suggestions I'm afraid

It isnt possible to alter the folder conventions I'm afraid 😞

Does it give any error messages when you start up @"Wilhelmus" ?

Have you tried clearing cache and/or using an incognito window?
